I would suppose baldrick has got it right most of it anyway. I'm not so sure the version regarding everything for the corporate world is an absolute however.

I figure data on data gathers some form of trail of groups and users of special interest to world governments living in fear of their citizenry plotting an overthrow here and there.

I suspect that "all," governments are sourcing users on the internet looking for adversaries to their control, new ideas regarding how its done, folks who are planning actions, sources for support of the would be anarchists as well would be Patriots who have had enough of the "System."

At some point court rooms will be filled with so called criminals who plotted against the power structure and the source of the evidence will be their cyber trails. Already in effect in America and most of Europe.

So yea, I'm concerned of invasive Googles and the like...They are not your friend.
