Rumour has it that the Next Nexus tablet will be an 8" from HTC, should be perfect. Very hetero, so Paps won't be interested...![]()

I don't see the point of a Mini, you still aren't gonna get the fukker in your pocket.
Can't beat a 10 incher, can you fellas ?

Well that rumour was true then.
Way overpriced though.
NEW YORK — Microsoft announced a larger version of its Surface tablet yesterday to make the device more compelling as a laptop replacement.
The Surface Pro 3 has a screen measuring 12 inches diagonally, up from 10.6 inches in previous models. Microsoft said it’s also thinner and faster than before. The company said it worked closely with chipmaker Intel Corp. to maximize performance.
Microsoft also collaborated with software developers such as Adobe to adapt Photoshop and other software to take advantage of the new tablet’s hardware.
The Surface Pro 3 will go on sale today starting at $799.
The Surface is an important part of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s mobile-focused strategy. The company is trying to boost sales of Windows tablets and phones to stay relevant with consumers as computing habits change.
Microsoft’s presenters spent much of an hour-long presentation in New York yesterday comparing the Surface with Apple’s iPad and MacBook Air laptop.
Panos Panay, corporate vice president for Surface Computing at Microsoft Corp., tried to make the case for the Pro 3 to replace both.
“This is the tablet that can replace a laptop,” he said.
The first Surface came out in late 2012 to lackluster sales. The Surface 2’s debut last October came with a greater marketing emphasis on tasks people normally tackle on laptops, such as creating documents and editing movies.
In the January-March period, revenue from Surface devices grew more than 50 percent from the year before, to about $500 million. But that figure pales in comparison with Apple’s reported $7.6 billion in iPad revenue for the same quarter.

Interface looks like it was designed by a ten year old
same as the mobile interface and the most recent edition of Windows whatever it is.
did you buy one harry ? sounds like you are craving for it, and it has Win8, your favorite OS with all the updates
Buttplug, how many times do I have to tell you, I don't pay for this shit.
I'll probably get one to play with, get bored with it and give it to the housemaid.

'Arry, isn't this just the next gen Surface Pro rather than the Surface mini (as the thread title suggests)? Wouldn't a Surface Mini be an 8"?

Just had a gander at that Surface Pro 3 Arry, seems you are right about it being overpriced.
You only get an i3 in it for $800. The i5 and i7 models are yet to be priced up.
Oh well, still happy with my Surface Pro 1, I finally made the splurge on a keyboard for it today. Got the Surface 2 backlit one, which stupidly enough is the same price as the Surface 1 typepad without the lightsApprox 4000 baht though
I bought an Xbox PC controller for it too, just gotta download some games now

Snigger if you like, but this baby rolls with email, sms, facebook, whatsapp, viber, Line, updates and the like all in one hub.
No buttons and works on swipe gestures.
It's the way forward.
Black diamonds? I shit 'em.
I like it on the phone but it's shit on anything bigger. Microsoft are barking up the wrong tree trying to force people to use a mobile interface on computers - and they know it.

^ Oh yes.
They came out at about 25,000 baht brand new about a year back and dropped to 8k 6 months later.
Specs not too disimilar to other top end phones.
May laugh, but I kinda smirk at you sheeples with the Samsungs and Iphones.
The z10 is a great phone and the BB10 OS is the nuts. Can even download Android apps on the thing.
