I finally got my Kindle Touch. It comes with no instructions - just the cord to plug it into your computer and the machine. I plugged it in, charged it, and loaded my WiFi. I then ordered a cheap book ($3.99). One touch and it downloaded the book to my machine in one minute, and debited my credit card which I use with my existing Amazon account. So, no more one month wait for books, and no shipping charges, which often equaled the cost of the book. I read about 200 pages last night; easy page turning and easy on the eyes. I still have to play with it to work out all the bells and whistles, but my initial reaction is that it is quite nifty. I don't think for me it will ever replace 'real' books, but it is a really nice alternative source. Opened my e-mail this AM and had the standard message from Amazon with purchase order information. So, now to work out how to download free books is the next step.
