Nonsense. How can reading from your router tell you about the bottle-neck getting in & out of Thailand?

i'll try again, i average about 220 kbps for download and 95 kbps upload,

this means leaving the pc on overnight to download films at about 800mb

I use bittorrent dns you must forward your port to the router so that incoming downloads will be detected and download at faster speeds......... if you search this you will see what i mean!!!!!!

I have a terrible connection and a slow pc, but it does a reasonable job though i cant watch youtube or buffered streams talking over skype is no problem.

However you can buy software that will compress information making your connection faster, whilst also managing settings for about 20 pounds

you can also find free tutorials of configurating your O/S too........
im hot its so hot today.......milk was a bad choice!

Warning: ISP upload compression was detected. Your upload speeds may be inaccurate.

Don't get all defensive about your beloved windows Lom.

Fact is, ubuntu/kde is easily customizable and vista is not. Yep, you can get round it quite easily, but why the fek not have it as standard.

I assume you've never used wobbly windows, there feking great

Ubuntu forums as CMN said, pretty sure you will need "ndiswrapper".

Native drivers for Unix and Linux are not available for many wireless network adapters, as manufacturers supply neither drivers nor the information required to write them. NDISwrapper allows Windows drivers available for virtually all adapters to be used under Unix and Linux.

Not sure it will work with the LiveCD though.

what are you trying to download?

if it's some shitty public torrent site like mininova or thepirate bay and doesn't have many seeds then it's not going to make much difference what speed connection you have.
