^^That is actually far better than I expected. Little shit gets 22; victim gets 4. In this fucked up, PC world, fair enough. Plus, I know from experience, fractured knees are forever......

Agreed. In fact he showed a lot of restraint in letting the other kid have a few free pops first. Surely, if confronted by bullys a kid has a right to defend himself. What else could he do , politely ask the assailant to stop ? Scream for help from a teacher ? Call the police ?

Justice was done and the bully learnt a lesson. Whole story blown out of proportion by the media IMO.
Absolutely. Agree with both of you. In fact, this should be seen as a perfect reaction. The younger (and smaller) kid is lucky that tubby didn't throw him head first onto the concrete. Tough luck the little jack-the-lad broke his ankle - but he had it coming. All bullies big or small are cowards - skinny boy won't be dancing around anyone else anytime soon.
My mind is not for rent to any God or Government, There's no hope for your discontent - the changes are permanent!

That boy showed restraint to an extent few people are capable. When he reacted he did it in a controlled and limited way.

    Admirable.

I had to take a school district to court once for suspending a child for fighting. The idiot liberals at the school had a policy against fighting, and they would suspend any child involved in a fight without regard to fault. This effectively eliminated the right of self-defense. The goofy principal actually said, "he was fighting and it does not matter if he started it or not."

The child I was representing did not start the fight, even a teacher who was a witness was prepared to testify he was attacked by another student with a history of abusive conduct, but the idiot principal suspended both children anyway and refused to even discuss the matter.

Sadly it never got to a Court hearing before a judge, the school districts legal advisors advised them to reinstate my clients child as soon as they were served with, and read the Writ of Mandate I had filed with the Court. This is an example of how ridiculous it can become when school officials, who seem to have no concept of reality intervene in playground disputes. It still cost the innocent kids parents about 1200usd in lawyer and court fees. (you pay the court fee when you file the case).

No child or adult should lose the basic right to self-defense and years of wallowing in stupidity like this is how I got the attitude I have towards government.

Big Casey has become a national hero in Australia over the past few days, with web sites and facebook pages in recognition of his services in defeating feral little rats like the bully.

But unfortunatly some tool posted the little rat's address and phone number on line, which as it turns out, isn't the little rats phone number or address, but an old age pensioner and his cancer stricken wife's home and phone details.

You can imagine the phone call's the poor old sod must be receiving.

This is very true, but the deal is. you have to deal with the bulling and prevent the kids from being in this situation in the first place. When you enviably fail to back up your words with action and these situations happen. look at your own failures before criticising those who do something about it.

many many years ago in a different age. I was 13 I found myself in a similar position, weather it was bulling or not I am not sure. The three brothers were known as bullies, but this was the first and only time I had an probably with anyone at the school... so could you call it bullying?

When I see jj et al surrounding their victims, pushing, shoving etc. It reminds me of what these lads did to me. loads of people around, just watching not getting involved.

One of the small boys took a swing at me to punch me in the face, I snapped. I didn't think I need to do something, I've had enough of this. I didn't think at all.
In a blink I find my self pushing the older boy's face into the ground, my hands are around his neck and I am strangling him. There is a second lad who is trying to pull me off, but one of his fingers is in my mouth and I am biting it off, he's screaming his head off. I start to think what the fuck am I doing, whats happening, where's the lad who tried to hit me, what do I do next, I'm strangling someone to death.

To cut it short, I leg it back to the school. to get help for these lads, but more importantly to put some distance between us. And as I said a different age. The police were called but, they wanted to the school to deal with it. The schools primary interest was their reputation and hushing the whole thing up, surreal really. In the end I was asked if I wanted to take any time off school and two of the three brothers were sent to different schools.

what bothers me about the whole incident is just how close I came to killing someone, I am told 60-90 seconds and that despite the presence 50 people the only person intent of stopping chock the life out of that little sod was the brother who's finger I was biting off. How can people just stand there, watch someone being killed in front of them and just watch. The only reason I am not a murder and that lad is alive is that I managed to come to my senses in time... and that bothers me.

punishing the victim of these bullies is pointless, I dought if he was even aware of what he was doing to the bully, although I would imagine he's grateful to have a few days to get his sh1t together. What I would like to know is what they did to the girl and the lad filming the incident, they are as culpable as the attacker for what happened.

my son got bullied, the wife wrote to the school, in short nothing was done.

he is a good lad and not a 'softy ' just adhered to the school rules, which were you are just as guilty fighting back as the bully.

i spent a week end talking about life to my son and taght him, hit the biggest first, if you get scared head butt him, and duly taught him to head butt quickly and in the right area.

in due course he ended up head butting the bully and got suspended, with me receiving a letter telling me what a bad daddy i was for teaching him to head butt.

i took the letters my wife had written over a period of 9 months to the principle and explaine i would go to the local papers with these and show the school up for what they were, useless.

he was reinstated and nothing more was said.

low and behold no more bullying and he enjoyed going to school again.
