Paedophilia 'culturally accepted in south Afghanistan'
British forces were advised by a military study that paedophilia is widespread and culturally accepted in southern Afghanistan.

Older, powerful men boosted their social status by keeping boys as sexual playthings and the practice was celebrated in song and dance, a military study claimed.
British officers in Helmand requested the study to help them understand the sexual behaviour of locals and Afghan comrades after young soldiers became uneasy they were being propositioned.
American social scientists employed to help troops understand the local culture reported that homosexual sex was widespread among the Pashtun ethnic group in southern Afghanistan.
Strict separation of men and women, coupled with poverty and the significant expense of getting married, contributed to young men turning to each other for sexual companionship.
"To dismiss the existence of this dynamic out of desire to avoid western discomfort is to risk failing to comprehend an essential social force underlying Pashtun culture," the report said.

The study, called 'Pashtun Sexuality', said that as well as willing sex between young men, "boys are appreciated for physical beauty and apprenticed to older men for their sexual initiation".
The practice of 'bache bazi' or boy play, is known throughout Afghanistan, but is particularly renowned in the city of Kandahar next to Helmand, where prepubescent boys are widely admired.
Western soldiers often report feeling unease at the attentions of their Afghan comrades, who are affectionate with each other and sometimes wear make-up.
British troops have also talked of their disgust at police or militias keeping young boys as hangers on.
Anna Maria Cardinalli, author of the report, said British officers requested the research in the summer of 2009 when she worked with them in Lashkar Gah.
She said: "They were having young men who were beginning to feel uncomfortable because they felt they were being approached." She said the study gave no advice about what action troops should take if they confronted paedophilia.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said: “Afghanistan is a sovereign nation with its own law under which the sexual abuse of children is illegal.
“British forces working as part the wider [coalition] force continue to work with and assist the Afghan National Security Forces, including the Afghan National Army and Afghan Police, to ensure that the rule of law in Afghanistan is adhered to and upheld.” Paedophilia 'culturally accepted in south Afghanistan' - Telegraph

Been going on for centuries. Saudi Arabia and other radical Muslim places where the sexes are segregated too. We all know that homosexually is rife in sexually segregated western prisons as well. God help any fresh faced 18 year old kid thrown in amongst those big hairy lifers. Throw a couple of juveniles in there and it would be like a feeding frenzy. Just human nature with testosterone powered brains and no natural outlet. But hey, that aint what we are sending our young fellas over there to fight and die for. No politician gives a shit about those kids getting their arses reamed out.

At least now with gays able to come out openly in the US army, they should expect an increase in young Americans signing up to go to Afghanistan.

A U.S. defense contractor has been caught – again – in a child sex scandal, this time over bacha bazi – the Afghan cultural tradition of "boy play" – after employees allegedly hired young boys to dress up in women's clothing and dance and potentially to be sold for sex, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
DynCorp, a U.S. government contractor that trains Afghan security police, allegedly hired a 17-year-old boy for entertainment at what DynCorp describes as a "going-away party" in Kunduz Province, even though bacha bazi is against Afghan law.
In the practice of bacha bazi, boys ages 9-17 are dressed up as women to dance for leering Afghan men who then use the boys for sex and make them their property. Sources say that the dancing boys are, in effect, sex slaves owned by Afghan police, diplomats and wealthy drug lords.
"They are dressed in women's clothes, they wear bells, they dance and they are rented and sold to the highest bidder," according to one Afghan. "They are often sodomized by many men in a single night, sometimes resulting in [the] death of the child."
The U.S. State Department has called the Afghan practice of owning "dancing boys" a "culturally sanctioned form of male rape."
According to a regional expert, bacha bazi is a "perverse interpretation" of Islamic law, since Afghan women are unapproachable.
"Afghan men cannot talk to an unrelated woman until after proposing marriage, and then they can't even look at a woman, except perhaps her feet," the expert said.
"How can you fall in love if you can't see her face," one 29-year-old Afghan man asked. "We can see the boys, so we can tell which are beautiful."
A recently leaked U.S. State Department cable from Afghanistan raised concerns that DynCorp allegedly had participated in paying for young "dancing boys" and that drugs also may have been involved in such activity.
This revelation has led to allegations that U.S. taxpayer money may have been used by a U.S. defense contractor for illicit sex in an effort to influence local leaders.
The leaked cable said then–Minister of Interior Hanif Atmar was concerned that a story would be published that would endanger lives.
"On the Kunduz Regional Training Center DynCorp event of April 11 (reftel), Atmar reiterated his insistence that the U.S. try to quash any news article on the incident or circulation of a video connected with it," according to the cable, which was signed by U.S. Ambassador Karl Eikenberry.
DynCorp gets about 96 percent of its $2 billion in revenues from federal contracts. The company has provided much of the security for Afghan President Hamid Karzai's presidential guard and trains much of Afghanistan's and Iraq's police force.
In response to a G2Bulletin inquiry for a response, DynCorp's vice president for communications, Ashley Vandarsdall Burke, said the Kunduz episode was an isolated event and admitted that "a handful of individuals were found to have exercised extremely poor judgment and acted inappropriately."
Burke said that the event was an employee's going-away party, and a 17-year-old local Afghan dancer was hired to perform a traditional Afghan dance. She said that a site manager of the company halted the performance, recognizing that the "situation" was "culturally insensitive."
The Kunduz episode isn't DynCorp's first brush with the sex-slave world.
In 1999 in Bosnia, a U.S. policewoman who worked for DynCorp was fired after telling of an alleged sex-slave ring operating on one of the bases there. The U.S. policewoman, Kathryn Bolkovac, settled a lawsuit. Her story recently was featured in the film "The Whistleblower."
Bolkovac's case followed a similar episode in which another employee, Ben Johnston, blew the whistle on DynCorp employees and supervisors for allegedly engaging in sex with 12- to 15-year-old children and selling them to each other as slaves.
Again! U.S. contractor tied to child sex trade

Us Government contractor DynCorp providing preteen boys for sex in Afghanistan revealed by Wikileaks

11 year old "Bacha Bazi" sex slave

    Bacha Bazi sex slaves.

14 year old Bacha Bazi sex slave is in documentary listed in this article.

Sex slave and his pedophile owner. The man in the picture admits to having sex with hundreds of preteen and teen boys.

The Afghanistan cable (dated June 24, 2009) discusses a meeting between Afghan Interior Minister Hanif Atmar and US assistant ambassador Joseph Mussomeli. Primary among Minister Atmar's concerns was a party partially thrown by DynCorp for Afghan police recruits in Kunduz Province.
Many of DynCorp's employees are ex-Green Berets and veterans of other elite units, and the company was commissioned by the US government to provide training for the Afghani police. According to most reports, over 95 percent of its $2 billion annual revenue comes from US taxpayers.
And in Kunduz province, according to the leaked cable, that money was flowing to drug dealers and pimps. Pimps of children, to be more precise. (The exact type of drugs were never specified although opium and heroin is widely used.) Houston Press
In the cable leaked by the Wikileaks website the party involved DynCorp International and the boys were "Bacha Bazi" loosely translated means "Boy Play". Bacha Boys are also called dancing boys but what they really are is 11 - 18 year old sex slaves that are owned by Afghan police, diplomats and wealthy drug lords. They are dressed in women clothes, they wear bells, they dance and they are rented and sold to the highest bidder. They are often sodomized by many men in a single night, sometimes resulting in death of the child.
Your tax dollars are paying for the rape and exploitation of young children in Afghanistan. DynCorp International did pay for parties and provided child sex slaves to the Afghanistan police officers that attended these events. These are facts.
The following comes from the DynCorp International website and is their "Code of Ethics"
    • We adhere scrupulously to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and fairness when engaged in any activity concerning the Company and its relationships with customers, suppliers, and the general public.
    • We comply with the spirit and letter of all applicable laws and regulations.
    • We deliver the highest quality service to our customers.
    • We compete vigorously in the marketplace and avoid business dealings that violate antitrust laws, conflict of interest principles, or procurement integrity guidelines.
    • We offer equal employment opportunities.
They should add, we also provide the youngest boys available for your sexual gratification.
Watch the 1 hour Documentary by clicking here
Minister Atmar urged the US State Department to shut down a reporter he heard was snooping around, and was horrified that a rumored videotape of the party might surface. He predicted that any story about the party would "endanger lives." He said that his government had arrested two Afghan police and nine Afghan civilians on charges of "purchasing a service from a child" in connection with the party, but that he was worried about the image of their "foreign mentors," by which he apparently meant DynCorp. American diplomats told him to chill. They apparently had a better handle on our media than Atmar, because when a report of the party finally did emerge, it was neutered to the point of near-falsehood. Houston Press
As a survivor of abuse I am outraged that an American company entrusted with Government contracts is allowed to get away with such horrid acts against humanity, horrible acts against innocent children. I urge you to share this story and to contact your congressmen. We must terminate the contracts held by DynCorp International.
I called DynCorp International today and asked about this story and the operator hung up on me 3 times.

US contractor bought Afghan policemen drugs, little boys, cable reveals

Update: In a statement, DynCorp vice president of communications Ashley Vanarsdall Burke confirmed that contractors had hired a 17-year-old boy to perform at an employee's going away party, but denied that drugs or alcohol were involved.
    Original report continues below...
US State Dept. called ownership of Afghan 'dancing boys' a 'culturally sanctioned form of male rape'
The Afghanistan interior minister was so concerned about an incident where DynCorp, a US contractor charged with training Afghan police, bought drugs and paid for young "dancing boys" that he asked the US embassy to work to "quash" the story, a secret US diplomatic cable released by WikiLeaks indicates.
In Afghan society, "dancing boys" are little boys dressed as girls, commonly abused and kept by some men as possessions.

As Joel Brinkley reported for SFGate.com, many Afghan Pashtun tribal men take boys age 9 to 15 as lovers. The US State Department recently called "dancing boys" a "widespread, culturally sanctioned form of male rape."
Sociologists and anthropologists say the problem results from perverse interpretation of Islamic law. Women are simply unapproachable. Afghan men cannot talk to an unrelated woman until after proposing marriage. Before then, they can't even look at a woman, except perhaps her feet. Otherwise she is covered, head to ankle.
"How can you fall in love if you can't see her face," 29-year-old Mohammed Daud told reporters. "We can see the boys, so we can tell which are beautiful."
"Some research suggests that half the Pashtun tribal members in Kandahar and other southern towns are bacha baz, the term for an older man with a boy lover," wrote Brinkley. "Literally it means 'boy player.' The men like to boast about it."
"Everyone tries to have the best, most handsome and good-looking boy," a former mujahideen commander told Reuters in 2007. "Sometimes we gather and make our boys dance and whoever wins, his boy will be the best boy."
Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai is Pashtun. Brinkley's sources say that one or two members of Karzai's family had taken boy lovers, but that was unconfirmed.
According to the newly leaked cable, the then-Ministor of Interior Hanif Atmar worried that if the story became public then lives would be in danger. Atmar also warned that a video of the incident might be released by the media,
"On the Kunduz Regional Training Center (RTC) DynCorp event of April 11 (reftel), Atmar reiterated his insistence that the U.S. try to quash any news article on the incident or circulation of a video connected with it," the cable said.
"Atmar said he insisted the journalist be told that publication would endanger lives. His request was that the U.S. quash the article and release of the video," the cable continued. "Amb Mussomeli responded that going to the journalist would give her the sense that there is a more terrible story to report."
Atmar then disclosed the arrest of two Afghan National Police (ANP) and nine other Afghans (including RTC language assistants) as part of an MoI investigation into Afghan "facilitators" of the event. The crime he was pursuing was "purchasing a service from a child," which in Afghanistan is illegal under both Sharia law and the civil code, and against the ANP Code of Conduct for police officers who might be involved. He said he would use the civil code and that, in this case, the institution of the ANP will be protected, but he worried about the image of foreign mentors.
A July 2009 article by The Washington Post mentioned the incident but appeared to minimize the nature of such a practice.
"One effort to train Afghan civilian police has drawn attention from the State Department's inspector general following incidents of questionable management oversight, including one instance in which expatriate DynCorp employees in Afghanistan hired a teenage boy to perform a tribal dance at a company farewell party and videotaped the event," the Post's Ellen Nakashima wrote.
The cable also said that the interior minister had requested that the US military take over the control over the training centers that DynCorp was managing, but he was informed that such an arrangement was legally impossible.
"Atmar said that President Karzai had told him that his (Atmar's) 'prestige' was in play in management of the Kunduz DynCorp matter and another recent event in which Blackwater contractors mistakenly killed several Afghan citizens. The President had asked him 'Where is the justice?'" the cable reported.
    by dressing up as boys.
Atmar "understood that within DynCorp there were many 'wonderful' people working hard, and he was keen to see proper action taken to protect them; but, these contractor companies do not have many friends."
In June of this year, Atmar resigned as Minister of Interior.
In August, Karzai surprised the US Embassy in Kabul by announcing that he was banning foreign security contractors.
"[T]he [US] officials say that Karzai gave no advance notice to the embassy or other U.S. officials that he would attempt to address the problem with the radical step of trying to outlaw such contractors with the stroke of a pen," Newsweek reported.
While the decision left some contractors panicked, many humanitarian aid workers have praised Karzai.
"To the extent that it [the ban] helps to de-militarize the environment and to the extent that it reinforces the government's monopoly on the use of force, I think ultimately it would be a positive thing," Nic Lee, director of ANSO, a non-profit humanitarian project, said.
The ban was scheduled to begin Dec. 17 but in late October, Karzai delayed it by two months.
"Whether the ban ever takes place now remains to be seen, but it seems clear that it will have minimal impact on the contractor industry if it does," Jason Ditz wrote for Antiwar.com.

    Yes, gas would be cheaper.

Alternatively, you could just make them watch American TV, and turn their minds to translucent jelly, and open up a few Wal-Marts with weaponry and burqa departments.
Maybe open up a Jihadi theme park:

I'm surprised at the lack of putrage. If we were talking about girls here I'm sure the thread would be 10 pages long by now, or have we all been so conditioned by the faggot brigade that we say nothing for fear of appearing homophobic ?.
No opinion on the American contractor paying for it?

^I don't think it's about boys or girls. I think that people are just so used to Pakistanis and Afghanis being scum pieces of shit that what they do to each other is just kind of ho hum at this point. If two rival Paki religious sects are declaring war on each other - yawn. If Afghanis are fucking little boys like they have for centuries - yawn. I think the outrage surfaces when they bring their twisted, sick shit to our shores. As far as Dyncorp, I don't think the personnel of any of these "security" companies represent the best and brightest - just people working in shitholes trying to make a fast buck before the war moves on. What these dirtballs do to each other in their own countries isn't really of much concern to me - I would much prefer we left, and left them alone in the 5th century where they appear to want to reside.

I am sure they would much prefer it too.
But fact is that competing western powers have economic and strategic interests in the region these days and so we just got to poke our noses into their business, which they dont seem to like very much. Such is the reason they are trying to tell us to fcuk off out of their turf by things like 9/11 etc.
