I don't think jogging while strapping a .45 would be very pleasant. If you want something with more stopping power that fits in a pocket, how about a .38 Airweight? 13 oz vs what, a couple of pounds?
    A .38 has more stopping power than a .45 ?

No, idiot, more than the .32 I recommended above.

    When Thomas Baker was

confronted by two youths while out on a late night run he decided to defend himself.
Having been punched in the face and fearing his attacker was armed he pulled out a handgun from his pocket and shot dead the teenager who had hit him.
As the gun debate rages afresh across America in the wake of the Tuscon massacre, prosecutors in Florida have ruled Baker should not face any charges, even though 18-year-old Carlos Musteller did not have a weapon.
When being attacked, robbed, mugged by two attackers - you have a split second to react.

The victim did the right thing.

    Good job.

Why take chances. Unfortunately a civil lawsuit (for money) by the family of the deceased scumbag is almost inevitable.

If he's dead the damages are actually a lot less than if he's alive and requires medical care for the rest of his life. No joke, I went through a police academy at 21 years old, and they made sure we knew that. Also, dead, he died during a robbery, if he's alive they can bring him into court and have him act nice, lie and try for sympathy from some jury.

I used to have a .44 magnum Ruger Redhawk. It also took pellet shot (no idea what the correct term in English is).

Good up to a range of about 10 yards. Enough to hold off an unmugger.
