A KEEN real estate agent showed prospective buyers around a $1.3million home while the owner lay dead on the couch - after he mistakenly thought she was asleep.
Agent Samuel Allfort said he thought the 55-year-old woman was resting when he brought a couple over to view the home in Notting Hill, West London, in June last year.
He told Westminster Coroners’ Court that he had taken the couple around the home and left the lounge room until last in the hope that owner Katherine Frame would wake up by the time the viewing ended.
When she didn’t the Marsh and Parsons agent walked the couple outside and before coming back in to try and wake Miss Frame.
In a statement read to the court, Mr Allfort said: “Whilst doing the viewing I decided the leave the living room until last as it looked like someone was asleep on the sofa.
