Christian hoteliers cleared in Muslim woman abuse row

Christian hoteliers cleared in Muslim woman abuse row

The couple said they were taking part in a debate about faith

A devout Christian couple have been cleared of insulting a Muslim guest because of her faith.
Benjamin and Sharon Vogelenzang were accused of launching a tirade against Ericka Tazi at the Bounty House Hotel in Aintree, Liverpool, in March.
The couple denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words which were religiously aggravated.
District judge Richard Clancy dismissed the case at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs Tazi, who converted to Islam 18 months ago, spent a month at the hotel in Church Avenue while attending a course at Aintree Hospital.
    Court demonstrations
She claimed the couple became enraged when she wore a hijab on her last day and accused Mr Vogelenzang, 53, of asking her if she was a murderer and a terrorist.
But the couple denied her version of events and claimed Mrs Tazi told them Jesus was a minor prophet and that the Bible was untrue.
The two-day trial ended when Judge Clancy dismissed the case.
Mr and Mrs Vogelenzang were backed by campaign group The Christian Institute which held demonstrations of support outside the court.

It has been a very difficult nine months and we are looking forward to rebuilding our business and getting on with out lives.

Earlier on Wednesday the court heard that takings at the couple's hotel were down by 80% since they were prosecuted for the public order offence.
Speaking from the witness box, Mr Vogelenzang accused 60-year-old Mrs Tazi of "trying to ruin his business" during heated scenes.
Speaking after the hearing, Mrs Vogelenzang, 54, said: "It has been a very difficult nine months and we are looking forward to rebuilding our business and getting on with out lives.
"We would like to thank all those who have supported us over the last nine months - our family, our friends, our church, and Christians from all around the world and non-Christians.
"And as Christmas approaches we wish everybody peace and goodwill."

Please explain how they are? the convert being of the same race can hardly claim to be a victim of racism, and neither is she by Islam being discussed. Nobody was saying she should not wear her head rag from what I read. Members of all races are, unfortunately, members of this vile creed. Nothing worse than a convert, they are like former smokers who give up- a bit toooo sensitive.

That's what she said, the couple denied it and the court believed them. You can't get out much if you run a hotel. Some people, and Muslims especially in the UK, just seem to walk around all day looking for something to be offended by.

lol, yea i had thought someone would jib me for that quote about not getting out much if you run a hotel. anyway, i'm not trying to take anybody's side. but this just reminds me of an old mate of mine which i have just recently found and his new wife which really can't understand anyone that's not English, let alone differant religion.

my gran used to wear a headscar on windy days in the 70's. i suppose this wouldnt be worn anymore due to reasons people jumping the gun. of course Nun's can get still get away with it, lol

anyway, i say no more about it. i like everyone. i find it fascinating

My guess is an increasing number of muzzies are attracted to staged controversy, by deliberately creating or otherwise manipulating a situation so that it can only work in their favour and against the infidel.

Many examples to choose from, but one higher profile is of the flying imams removed from a plane prior to takeoff, because several passengers complained they were acting suspiciously. Well, they were and they weren't, according to interpretation and burdens of proof, which as we know often work against the real victim. So, either the airline removes them and risks being sued, or allows them to fly despite many protests from several passengers that the robed ones were acting 'suspiciously', which is a relative term. In the end they did the sensible thing and removed them, stoically accepted a hiding from the dhimmi media, and paid off the imams.

In this case, it's easy enough for any muzzie in virtually any situation, using the resources of Dhimmi UK plc, to claim anything that may land someone in the dock or some other bother. If the muzzy is believed it's a victory for allah and quite possibly a bag of gold for use in this life. If the infidel is believed, no matter, the gov meets the tab and the victims suffer enough to deter others from thinking outside the box of dhimmitude.

Should never have gone to court. It was reported elsewhere that Mrs Tazi claimed there was 1 hour of abuse, other people who'd been present told the court that the conversation lasted about 7 minutes.

People should not be allowed to wear hijab at work.

It's dangerous and not hygienical. Period. Are people allowed to work wearing diving suits ?

You not being first to pounce would also be a quantum leap of logic.

By the way, insect, did you read the first 2 words of my post? If so, and if you have any thoughts on anything, perhaps you would consider sharing it instead of making a righteous pronouncement before springing back into your shell.

It doesn't matter. If Tazi had won she would have been a hero and another champion of islam, not just among immediate and distant muzzie communities but also to right thinking useful idiots, as another victim of Western hatred and intolerance.

Does this mean she lost? Don't be silly, of course she won. Staged controversy has the perpetrator play with a stacked deck, holding win-win against the victim's lose-lose.

Tazi lost only a court case. But she is still a hero because an offended muslim is an offended islam, the word of a muslim to a muslim is greater than that of an infidel, so more wounds fester where dogma teaches that the infidel will always close ranks to protect their own. One to islam on that basis alone. Then, it has cost her nothing, as a self-made victim she becomes an instant celebrity, gets loads of publicity, support and sympathy from muslim communities and organisations. Win-win also as the infidel pays the checkbin for her lies...but the victims went through a harrowing experience, decent people their lives shredded, smeared reputation and disruption to their business, plus of course, as we see increasingly, zero recourse to the cause of their suffering.

Importantly, the publicity given to the case heightens awareness of other infidels, to the possible consequences of not just doing or saying the wrong thing in the presence of a muslim or hand wringing lib, but doing or saying what is perceived or willfully misconstrued as less than respectful to the insidious ideology of islam.

UK is already on the spiral of dhimmitude with Sweden and Holland bunching, all envious of Norway's butt.

Can't talk for the foreigners, but many Brits are from uncomfortable to shit scared of anything to do with muzzies. They can see but more fearfully sense a dithering establishment fraying at the edges, as raving loonies trample over others' bones trying to seem more pc, more multicultural, more tolerant of victimised minorities than the next useful idiot.
