My comment relates to LT giving advice to someone on here that it was not important whether someone should meet the parents of their girlfriend before marrying them.
As a result of Loy Toy not meeting his GFs parents before marrying her, he, by his own admission tells us he has a situation where they are not welcome at his family home due to some issues with them taking the piss whilst there. This is what I base that comment on and nothing else.
I'm not sure what you are basing your opinion on but it doesnt seem to related to this.

But surely he would have had the same situation even if he had met them before? Or something very similar.

Or are you saying he shouldn't have married his gf if the parents were no good?

Thats the quote directed at you spin and you convenietly avoid Marmite's post with some other conjured up trivia.

Not only losing your comic value but also your creditability.

Sorry to post something on topic but, having spent some time in London, I've seen many line jumpers. The funniest was with my brother, who was making his first visit to the U.K. We were waiting on a train at an underground station, standing right in front of the doors. When the doors opened, a man to the sidetried to use his little daughter in front of him to force his way in. I didn't care but my brother stuck out his leg and blocked them. Seeing the anger on that prick's face was priceless!

Don't know for sure but it seems that Loy Toy and Spin have both been in Thailand for awhile and it seems really odd that they are having a go at each other over a bunch of nonsense. People here have different experiences based on their location, work, and habits. I don't doubt for a moment that LT and Spin are sincere in their conclusions about Thailand and its people but different attitudes and experiences will produce different outlooks.

As line jumpers, yeah they suck.

No the point I was making was that its clearly not normal to marry any woman before meeting the parents. He seemed to think it was ok and went as far to argue the point.
Damn, you were in that thread also, has you memory gone?

But you said he had a clearly failed life experience, but actually his marriage is successful.

So it has worked out for him ok hasn't it. So he can make a valid point about it.

I think you and others, misunderstand me. It looks like Marmite thinks I'm talking about LT as a life failure. Maybe LT has done well and has dough. Thats of zero interest to me.
You might be thinking I'm implying his marraige is a failure. I'm not.

The point I'm making is that LT was making out it was no problem marrying a girl in Asia without meeting her parents first! I challenged that as a bad idea. Then, he announces that his MIL is banned from his house for whatever reason
Maybe I'm the only one seeing the irony in this?

Is loytoys mother inlaw a queue jumper? I am quite amazed how such a thread topic can change so much in so few pages.

But if he had met her before, he would have just banned her from his house sooner. He probably found out she had some Chinese blood in her or something.

As for what I am basing my opinion on; it's the many times I have spent in his company.

Why is it a bad idea? Many older Asians seem to be backward and superficial with no real interest in their children's welfare. LT's theory sounds fine to me.
