Cops investigated over drug dealing
TWO police officers are being investigated over alleged drug dealing, armed robbery and extortion offences following a raid on Liverpool police station by the corruption watchdog.
The two Sydney detectives are being investigated by the Police Integrity Commission (PIC) which will air the allegations next month, Channel 7 reports.
The two junior detectives with six years experience are accused of robbing drug dealers and selling the drugs back to them as well as selling information to a senior Rebels bikie and possessing illegal firearms.
Teams of PIC officers raided the Liverpool Local Area Command on Tuesday.
The detectives have been suspended on full pay, the network reports.
A PIC spokesman would not confirm or deny whether the officers had been charged.
“I can't make any comment at the moment,” the spokesman said.
A NSW police spokesman said he was unable to comment because the matter was in the hands of the PIC.
