The first trace of Capitalism was not developed under Democracy either, so what's your point ? probably none as your reference to "Checks & balances" is showing your limits of comprehension about the history of Capitalism.Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon
Penalizing dairy farmers, oh my God !!! that's must be the end of the world. Reaping benefits is not a God given right, you live in a society, you agree to live in a society, society is not there to support you to reap benefits, but only to help it grow.Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon

Natural beauty - yes, there are some lovely places in the UK, but for stunning scenery and natural beauty, try crossing the North sea to Norway - we have deeper fjords, higher mountains, larger forests and bigger lakes than the UK - and unlike the UK, everything is freely accessible to the public - you will not see a single "no trespassing" sign anywhere in the countryside unless it is a military area. Plus there are fewer people per square km, so you are more likely to have the experience to yourself. Cross the Atlantic to Canada, and you have pretty much the same thing, just lots more of it. Include tropical countries, and the competition gets ever harder....
Places of interest - I would argue that the UK has quite a few places of interest, but surely most people would agree that countries like France, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Iraq, Iran and Egypt (to mention a few) have even more sights worth seeing, plus the added benefit of better climate and tastier food.
As someone has already said - you need to get out more, mate.
