Arrive at the airport with some spare time. Upgrade to first class and take as long as you want. There is only harry in line behind you and tell him you've just taken the last two seats.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
Just curious in a nice way Harry; I have not flown first class since I flew with my father on one of his business trips paid for by his employer at about age 10.
What is up there that makes first class so much better than business class? i know wealthy (millionaire) Americans who fly economy because they consider the prices for business/first class a rip off.
This is not a challenging question, but just curious, what's up there that's worth the expense?
Free drinks, more leg room and these days you can lie down, probably better food and, oh yeah, the stewardesses flirt with you so you feel like a big deal when you're just another wanker with money.Originally Posted by BobR

Modern air travel has become increasingly unpleasant as airlines continue to shrink seat sizes to fit more passengers on board and this is especially true in economy class. But not all airlines are heading in this direction. In fact, many of them are working to increase passenger comfort through new innovations.
From coach seats that convert to flat beds to cabin filtration systems that produce cleaner air, here are 10 ways airlines are working to make your coach flight more enjoyable.

Just travel mid week with Thai.
Always rows of seats available at the back of the economy cabin. Put one of the blankets at each end of the row as curtains to seal it off.
Most passengers look enviously, but don't complain. If one does you have 4 call buttons to call for help!!
Always eat at the airport, most have a decent place somewhere.
The stewardesses in economy may not be so hi-so as 1st, but they are approachable and will stand and talk/flirt/fond..../. in the galley once the troughs have been filled, the brandy broached, the lights lowered and the sozzled (Sontam) sun seekers asleep.
The pilot of a TransAsia plane switched off its only working engine seconds before it crashed and killed 43 people.
A report by Taiwan's Aviation Safety Council revealed Captain Liao Jian-zong said "Wow, pulled back the wrong side throttle" moments before the disaster.
The report into the February 4 crash also showed Liao, 41, failed simulator training in May 2014, in part because he had insufficient knowledge of how to deal with an engine flame-out on take-off.
He passed a second test, but when later training for the ATR 72-600 aircraft which crashed, an instructor said Liao "may need extra training" when dealing with an engine failure after take-off.
The report did not assign any blame for the crash.
One engine lost power about three minutes into the doomed flight. Liao reduced the throttle on the working engine but did not appear to realise his mistake until it was too late.
He tried to restart the engines several times before a junior first officer in the cockpit is heard on a recording saying: "Impact, impact, brace for impact."
Seconds later the almost new ATR 72-600, which had 58 people on board, crashed upside down into a shallow river in Taipei after it lurched between buildings, clipping an overpass and a taxi.
Fifteen people survived but all three pilots and 40 passengers and other crew died.

Are you telling me the Taiwan's Aviation Safety Council can come to a conclusion about why a plane crashed in only 5 months. Incredible.
The voice recorders recorded the conversations, the data recorders recorded the positions/status of all controls and equipments states along with the ATC records seems a sinch yes?
Fek first class fly Thai they have loads of free seats, you can stretch out on four seats, foods crap in either first class business or economy, just better drink in first business.
