Sudden Jihad Syndrome Strikes New Zealand

The system no doubt failed her?

"Speaking under parliamentary privilege, Mr Peters said the woman had a "police record a mile long" and had been "bludging off the New Zealand taxpayer" for 10 years."

Remind me to 'carry' next time I have to take an internal flight in NZ...

What is the point of this thread Booners? On what basis are you attributing the actions of a single Somalian refugee to "Jihad"?

I can't even find the quotes you've attributed to Winston Peters in the article you've linked to.

    Ah, you're on to something.

Immigrant lives in NZ for 14 years and she's a Somali. Of course.

She had been the subject of questions in parliament following an on-going fight with the immigration department which rejected her application for New Zealand residence visas for 14 members of her extended family.
What a thoughtless and insensitive thing to do. I was under the impression NZ was the most noble and caring place on Earth, with hospitals and schools and group hugs every Friday night and birds singing and a democracy that is above reproach and fresh air and clean water for everybody. And shoes! Shoes galore!

What is all that nonsense in the story about a Somali fruit-picking community?

I guess this thread gets moved to the Lounge unless Booners comes in and defends why it's an issues thread.

^ Furry 'nuff. Am interested to hear what he has to say if only to remove my own confusion. Is the 'issue' the "system", 'immigrants', or taking weapons onto flights in NZ...

Well boys, perhaps the reason the topic can stay in Issues is for a couple reasons. Like where's NZ's internal air security for one & another - the 'system' being the vaunted Nanny State failed this poor woman?

^ Eh? Why, this is your thread, you tell me.

Actually just wake me when this 'Issues' thread actually contains an issue and not the usual trolling nonsense. In the interim here, for your viewing pleasure and information, is a link to the so-called 'Issues Guidelines': https://teakdoor.com/issues/4078-issu...-and-news.html

Well, dear readers, where did the woman get the knife?
Are there metal detectors at airports in NZ?

"Passengers boarding short haul flights at New Zealand airports do not routinely pass through security screening."

Seems rather amateurish and naive considering state of restive Muslims these days, eh?

Let's see now...can you say "Soft Target"

Seems rather 'trusting' since it's not beneath terrorists using unstable women to do their evil deeds, eh?
