World's largest swimming pool



The San Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, on Chile's southern coast, has made a splash on the tourism radar thanks to the tremendous size of its saltwater swimming pool.

Navigable in small boats, the pool is reported to dwarf the former holder of the supersized title, the Orthlieb in Morocco, which is a mere 137 yards long and 91.44 yards wide.

The size of the lagoon is equivalent to 6000 standard-size eight metre long swimming pools.
