Indeed, and I don't think there is anything wrong with a bit of speculation.

I thought at first that it was his original theory so didn't watch. but now I have, I found it interesting. Dual engine failure on TO would be quite incredible and I think it could also have been complete electrical failure, possibly diagnosed as engine failure. It would be interesting to know what equipment was not working when the pilots accepted the aircraft.

The worst possible moment to have such a critical system failure and very little time to be aware, diagnose, and rectify the problem.

RIP to passengers and crew. Must have been awful.

I find it absurd that with an absolute bare minimum of information, people are on Youtube are claiming they know what happened to get likes and subscribes.

More so the dumb fuckers that give these oxygen thieves the time of day.

You could probably list a dozen causes for this accident, and when people start blaming pilots I'm surprised you of all people would tolerate it.

I'll say it again so chewcock gets the idea:
What we've got: A load of amateurs and supposed pros coming up with reasons for the crash based on an absolute minimum of information other than two blurry videos.

What we actually know: It didn't have enough lift to stay in the sky.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

Thankfully the good folk at PPRUNE share my opinion.

Again, this thread has become a Hamsterwheel of repetition and guesswork mixed in with nuggets of information and professionalism.

Until we have the time and ability to sort out which is which it will be closed.
Some of the rubbish being posted by supposed experts on this subject, especially across the news media, isn't far short of absolute shite.

There are some good YT theories amongst the bad ones and the ones I have watched only suggest possible causes. The Captain was the AI Training Captain for the 787 and a very experienced pilot who was due to retire. The reason for the accident is very puzzling and there has been a lot of speculation on Pprune, good, bad and ridiculous. The thread was closed due to repetition with posters failing to read the thread first. It has since been reopened.

I am hoping that an early preliminary report is published quickly to put minds at ease. Personally, the 787 is the one aircraft I will not fly on due to the all electric operation. I don't agree with this philosophy, preferring engines to drive pressurisation etc. Not that this has anything to do with this accident.

Some travelers will be concerned whether this accident is yet another reason to avoid Boeing planes.

This is AF447. Only then we only had one group briefly arguing over a few ACARS messages and then everyone had the decency to STFU until the recorders revealed the truth a couple of years later.

Airbus just announced some big orders in Paris, at least one from a previously all Boeing airline.

Shall the world wait for 2 months when the official investigation comes out to discuss this? Please tell me that we are allowed to talk about it, Sir Douglas Harry Bader?? Or shall we wait untill you say it is ok? You fucking cock.

I'm going to end the speculation and give gear up,gear down, gear up, gear down Captain Dave another theroy.
The flight was taking off from an Indian airport so engine failure due to cow strike. There is probably more cows in India then birds.
What ever happened to those poor passengers I hope they get to the real cause and prevent it ever happening again. After all most of us spend a lot of time flying .

Carry on parroting every stupid theory you see on social media from "experts". It's what every c u n t seems to be doing these days.

The truth is that, for all the bollocks people are coming out with to try and be the "first" to guess what happened, no-one actually knows and no-one will until the recorders are analysed and a preliminary report is issued.

And as of today, they haven't even decided where that's going to happen.

^^ There will be a preliminary report within 30 days of the accident. Any serious defect due to design or operational procedure will be communicated earlier.
