I doubt seriously the attempt was based on Trumps political views and FWIIW, I do not support what the shooter attempted and he paid for it with his life...(so conveniently mind you).

Frankly, the world has dumbed down. Sure the US probably has the most visibility due to all the social media platforms and really no control. Of course it is about his views, views that you and many others including myself find abhorrent. But the democratic process is such that if a majority of voters find his views agreeable then he will be voted in. If his values are so disagreeable then why is Trump so popular.
