FN-rapportør: Russia is responsible for Navalny's death

The death of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny is the responsibility of the Russian Government, as he was either killed in prison or died as a result of conditions in the Siberian penal camp where he was being held.

UN Special Rapporteur Mariana Katzarova told Reuters news agency.

"So the Russian government is responsible for his death no matter what," she said.

According to Russian authorities, Alexei Navalny died on February 16 of natural causes. He was 47 years old.

Mariana Katsarova also warns that other Russian prisoners could suffer the same fate as Navalny, and she expresses concern for opposition politician Vladimir Kara-Murza, among others.

"Since Alexei Navalny's death, not a day goes by that I don't ask myself who will be next. With this degree of oppression, there will definitely be a next, she says.

Something tells me that there are now consensus to what caused Navalnys death.

And yes, Russia is responsible for the health of their prisoners.

Just like Ukraine, who shamefully, denied the american journo Gonzalo Lira, medication and just watched him die.
