Good idea but simpler to use a pre-pay burner to send the message just to you and her.

Na its not about looking for an excuse to attack NK its about selling weapons, missile defense systems, like the billions of $'s worth they have just sold to Japan and SK.

All the sanctions and talk of invasion against NK are designed to convince Kim he needs missiles and nukes for if your enemy hasnt got missiles there is no need for anti-missile shields and if there are nukes as well then its doubly important that all friendly countries within range are protected.

Now the defense industry can push the US military to install anti-missile defenses in Hawaii, hay next time it could be true.

Same with Russia, Europe need to spend 2% of GDP on military to counter that threat.

Iran is to be the next designated enemy, abolish the nuke treaty and they will restart a nuke programme so all the 'friends' within range will need defense systems.

If you wanted to protect the United States from missile attack, I think you'd pick closer and more strategically important targets than Hawaii.

It's just good systems in place that make this sort of thing a situation where the orange cunto doesn't actually have a big button on his desk.
Can you imagine if the mistake occurred in Washington while the clown was doing his daily "executive time" on Twitter?

I feel bad for the Hawaiians, fearing for their lives. This is so terrible.

Allegedly part of ameristan, shades of yellow peril and far enough away from mainland. Guam too close, as no time to terrorise their own ameristan citizens sufficiently.

One wonders if the politician responsible for this will be waterboarded in Cuba. Or some patsy will be paid off.

Seems the world isn't scared anymore, time to push the sheep aound the pen. USA, USA, ..........

Apparently NBC were on location a day before, inside the "cock up alarm centre" filming. Funny heh?

On the lighter side, it's been confirmed that the U.S. has delivered 3 B-52 bombers [all nuclear equipped] to their Guam facilities.

    On with the show.

    On with the show.

As the Norks have repeatedly threatened to nuke Guam what do you expect the US to do - put on a tea party for them? Even if the POTUS wasn't a paranoid lunatic (sorry, I mean stable genius) the US would be insane not to beef up any part of its territory threatened by a belligerent nuclear power.

Japan Also Sends Out, Then Retracts, A False Missile Warning

Japan's public broadcaster sent out a false alert warning of a North Korean missile on Tuesday, just three days after Hawaii residents received an erroneous message about an incoming missile.

"North Korea appears to have launched a missile ... The government urges people to take shelter inside buildings or underground," the message read, according to a translation from Reuters.

The false warning went out just before 7 p.m. in the evening, through broadcaster NHK's Japanese mobile app and website. It was corrected less than 10 minutes later.

NHK has apologized, adding that there are no reports of problems caused by the mistake. The broadcaster blames a "switching error," without elaborating.

An NHK spokesperson told Reuters that the broadcaster is "still checking" on the cause.

Early Saturday morning, people in Hawaii received the following push notification: "BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL."

It took another 38 minutes for the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency to send an additional message that the message was a false alarm.

"Our focus has been getting the notification out to the public," said Vern Miyagi, the administrator of Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency, as NPR's Colin Dwyer reported. "One thing that we have to work on more is the cancellation notice in this event."

Both Hawaii and Japan have been increasingly concerned about North Korea's continued weapons testing.

As NPR's Scott Neuman reported, North Korea "routinely conducts test launches of its ballistic missiles over Japanese territory." Last month, Hawaii began monthly tests of its nuclear attack warning system, the first since the Cold War.

That's exactly the kind of spin the "stable genius" wants.
NorK has only ever threatened to retaliate. That's fair enough and not belligerance.

As if there have not been much more countries who have repeatedly threatened (please no name here). Shall we prepare to nuke them all?

Not strictly true. Retaliating with nuclear weapons against sanctions and resolutions seems to me to fit the criteria of "belligerence" which literally means waging war.

I'm sure it's all considered wind and piss at this stage but you have to remember there is a serious nutter in charge.

A North Korean state agency has threatened to use nuclear weapons to “sink” Japan and reduce the United States to “ashes and darkness” for supporting a UN Security Council resolution and sanctions over its latest nuclear test.
Pyongyang’s Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, which handles the North’s external ties and propaganda, also called for the breakup of the Security Council, which it called “a tool of evil” made up of “money-bribed” countries that move at the order of the United States.
“The four islands of the archipelago should be sunken into the sea by the nuclear bomb of Juche. Japan is no longer needed to exist near us,” the committee said in a statement carried by the North’s official KCNA news agency.

It reminds me when W had often mentioned the 9/11 in conjunction with Saddam. Hence, quite a large portion of his subjects had believed it, perhaps still believing up to date.

If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth...

Do you have a link to the DPRK Newa agency story, in English. Or should we accept The Independent as a non fake source ?

North Korea don't have nukes or anything capable of reaching Hawaii or Japan. What they have is washington war drums pretending they do, so they can start their nice war in Korea again.
