TERRIFIED shoppers have reported hearing gun shots after cops swarmed Oxford Circus tube station.
Singer Olly Murs warned people to "get out" of Selfridges, claiming he had heard "gun shots" ring out this afternoon.

Armed police have been spotted walking through the streets, with Met Police warning everyone to stay inside.

Shoppers saying they were cowering in nearby stores including Pret.
One witness wrote on Twitter: "Hiding in @Pret. They've locked all the doors because there's gun shots and people running down Carnaby and Oxford Street. Stay safe".

Video from the scene shows panicked commuters fleeing the famous shopping strip as emergency services flashed by. Terrified witnesses reported seeing cops with guns running through shops in response to the unknown incident.

It comes on one of the busiest nights for the station as Black Friday shoppers make their way home.
It is not clear exactly what has caused the drama, with authorities saying it was a "customer incident".
British Transport Police confirmed there is an ongoing incident, saying officers were at the scene.
A TfL spokesperson said the station had been closed for a police incident with passengers evacuated at 4.39pm, sharing on Twitter: "Oxford Circus is heavily restricted on all approaches to a Police incident. Avoid are if possible."

Trains are continuing to run through the station but are not stopping.

Journalist Jim Waterson tweeted at the scene, saying: "Unclear what's going on around Oxford Circus but lots of people running away from the underground station, people screaming and running into shops, lots of sirens and police on streets."

I was caught up in the resulting traffic gridlock earlier this evening.

Police are appealing for two blokes who had an "altercation" to turn themselves in.

Just after a warning over Black Friday attacks.

My guess is someone heard the shouting, ran for it and started a stampede.
