Ignore..? For all the tourist clearly 'unaware' would be a more suitable term. I've never seen any warning at the airport and anyone can purchase from duty free, the authorities certainly don't offer temporary licenses to visitors, likewise there is no licence check of fee when entering a bar here.Under UAE law, the consumption of alcohol is illegal unless the person has a valid alcohol licence - an issue many residents and tourists ignore.
What this shows is ME law is intentionally vague and arbitrarily applied to suit the oh so easily offended native speakers.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
Or.. the Jock is a poof![]()
....and perhaps not the Jordanian's type...
So what, do they smoke dope all day?...
Well considering drinking is illegal in Dubai without a license, somehow I managed to demolish a fair chunk of Grey Goose at some posh eaterie in Dubai without getting arrested. And at someone else's expense.
I intended to ask some of the resident hosts if they'd heard anything about it, but unfortunately they were all Chinese, so I just stayed inscrutable all night. (well pissed, but I'm sure it looked inscrutable).
Named and shamed. The big shot Jordanian man who had Jamie Harron thrown in jail for a cultural misunderstanding. Emad Tabaza, CEO of Neuman & Esser. Reputable company? What was your CEO doing in a notorious hooker bar trying to start fights?

80 years of company history have shaped the values of the NEA GROUP. Traditional values have been upheld, in particular, thanks to the Peters family, who has been managing the fortunes of the company since 1891. Trust in values has proven to be the best strategy to secure long-term stability and sustainability, both in a favourable economic climate, as well as in times of crisis. One key to the success of the Peters family is to be far-sighted and open-minded in looking to the future. Another is a tradition that has been passed on from generation to generation: The strong bond between family, company and the region of Aachen. This inheritance continues to be maintained and cherished to this day by the fourth generation of the Peters family. It includes great social and personal responsibility for every employee in the company.http://www.neuman-esser.de/contact/contact-form.htmlPersonal contact is important to us. So please do not hesitate to get in touch with us or our employees at all times.Best wishes
