    These billionaire prizes are silly.

Instead of one person that prize could have been split 100 ways.

The probability of winning would also be increased by 2 orders of magnitude if it was split.

But sadly probabilities are not something on the radar of lottery ticket buyers.

They only see big numbers after the $ signs and buy when it is high.
Fervently agree. And as I said, it also helps the country. 100 people will spend/spread that wealth much more quickly and further than one person with multi millions.
I daresay a wider spread of charities would benefit too.

No choice. Only six states allow anonymity for lottery winners - Massachusetts isn't one of them.

I'd give at least $100,000,000 away .... kids, brothers, sisters, mom, mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and a couple of really good friends.

I'd give another $100,000,000 to charity.

    Keep the rest.

I am not as generous as you. More like Gates to his kids. Sure give them a million each. Any brains set for life. You are also loved more than Jesus. Any more its going to create problems.

I think if I died today and you found out I was rich and had left you one million dollars you would be so say the least over the moon. You could then take care of yours and even your daughters future... You have a brain though. See how it works.

Not sure how to do it but maybe if possible I'd set it up so all my peeps got between $50-$100K annually for life instead.

Oh yeah ... I ain't forgetting my American, French, Australian and British peeps from Thailand. One each ... how you gonna spend your million AO?

Edit: SKkin has to live in Thailand for 3 years to claim his $1,000,000

Set up a trust or limited liability company to receive the winnings BEFORE you claim.

My financial advice will be cheap...to you.

The lottery is a fools bet. I've probably played it with less than 250usd in my lifetime. I have sometimes gone in with coworkers when it gets to the very large payouts but other than that I stear clear as I know the odds.

I've allways maintained a better bet is to put a portion of my pay away while using tax advantages and Roth rules to at least get the company match. It's all I've ever really counted on though an extra 1500 bucks a month through social security would be a nice bonus at age 62.

It seems a long way off but even a longer way off when I began playing this game at age 18. You know, when you never thought you'd make it past 25.

I'm not saying I'm not a gambler by any means. I just like to hedge my bets. Compounding and reinvesting dividends adds up. I've no complaints and by no means am a cheep Charlie anymore. Though I must admit there were times I was especially with the relatives. I don't mind giving to the Laotian childrens fund....sometimes... for schooling and stuff. You know, give the kids a fish and they'll eat for a day. Teach them to fish and they may never starve to death I'd hope.

    .............fish.

Haven't even thought to ask. And haven't seen any FB posts about it from any of them. But I know Texarkana is far away from Houston.

    Texarkana, AR

Texarkana is an awesome place, mostly because you’re actually in four places at once: Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The annual Four States Fair & Rodeo in Texarkana is a fun experience for out-of-towners and celebrates the way of life here, with family activities revolving around agriculture, farm products, livestock and horticulture. Texarkana is also ripe with outdoor activities like fishing at Wright Patman Lake, just ten miles southwest of town. Anglers head there quite often with hopes of catching one of the commonly found channel catfish, flathead catfish and blue catfish. There’s plenty of redneck hunting spots too, with abundant game like gators, squirrels, ducks, turkey and deer. All you need is a hunting license to hunt legally.

Please send my regards from Hicksville.

Nothing will ever top the Louisiana Purchase. Didn't we buy that from France for next to nothing.

Im teaching miss fish about US history so she can become a citizen. Stuff like The Declaration of Independence. Seems some islanders are still mad about that one. Just sent her to get some Guinness as we are working on another project in the brew town. Never been to Texarkana but have been to Nevada Idaho Montana North Dakota South Dakota Michigan and every place from Wisconsin to Florida along the east coast from North Carolina on down that is. I can see why people hate me (US) now I seppo. Will have to check it out someday. Miss fish just took me to a Laotian market this morning that I never knew was there. So much to see there and even got to practice my Laotian linguistic skills. Last week it was the Mexican market too bad I can't speak Spanish or that would be a real trip.

    Fish out.

Forgot to mention the Blue Ridge Mountains. I can see why people in retirement buy the big recreation vehicles and just travel around. Me I'm going to need a bigger boat. I'm thinking the Caribbean. go fish.
