All entirely predictable...
Paedophile Richard Huckle stabbed to death at Full Sutton Prison
A British man jailed for numerous sex crimes against Malaysian children has been found stabbed to death in prison.
Richard Huckle, 33, from Ashford, Kent, abused as many as 200 children.
In 2016, he was given 22 life sentences after admitting 71 charges of sex abuse of children aged between six months and 12 years, between 2006 and 2014.
It is understood he was attacked on Sunday in his cell at Full Sutton Prison, near York, with what was described as a makeshift knife.
Police were called shortly after 12:30pm and have launched an investigation into his death, we they are treating as suspicious.
Huckle's trial at the Old Bailey in 2016 heard that investigators who checked his computer found more than 20,000 indecent pictures and videos of his assaults.
These were shared with paedophiles worldwide through a hidden website on the so-called dark web.

How Richard Huckle was caught
Huckle, who worked as a freelance photographer, tried to make a business out of his abuse by crowd-funding the release of the images. He was compiling a paedophile's manual at the time of his arrest in 2014.
At the end of his trial, Judge Peter Rook said Huckle's sentence reflected the "public abhorrence" over his "campaign of rape".
He said: "It is very rare indeed that a judge has to sentence sexual offending by one person on such a scale as this."
Huckle was arrested at Gatwick Airport by National Crime Agency officials in December 2014, following a tip-off by Australian authorities.
He presented himself as a practising Christian and first visited Malaysia on a teaching gap year when he was 18 or 19.
He went on to groom children while doing voluntary work.
In online posts, Huckle had bragged: "Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids."
Commenting on one of his victims, he boasted: "I'd hit the jackpot, a 3yo girl as loyal to me as my dog and nobody seemed to care."
Huckle's encrypted paedophile manual was found on his laptop ready for publication on the dark web.
Last year, BBC Three produced a documentary about Huckle, which explored his proximity to children in Cambodia, India and the UK.
Malaysians deplore 'devil' Huckle
The 'gap year' paedophile Richard Huckle 'highly likely' to have had UK victims
In it, retired police officer Jim Gamble, who used to lead child abuse investigations in Britain, called for a more extensive investigation into potential abuses in the UK.
Full Sutton is a maximum security men's prison around 11 miles east of York that holds "some of the most difficult and dangerous criminals in the country", according to the Ministry of Justice website.
Image caption Residents have protested against plans to expand Full Sutton
It has a total capacity of around 550, and holds only Category A prisoners, whose escape would be considered highly dangerous, and Category B prisoners, whose escape must be made "very difficult".
Last August one hundred officers were called when a prisoner went on a rampage, attacking staff and starting a fire.
Plans to build a Category C facility alongside the current facilities, making a 1,440-inmate "mega prison", have been opposed by Humberside Police, who fear it would increase violent crime within the jail and raise demands on the force.

This thing was simply a bad egg that should have been exterminated immediately it admitted the crimes.
I do not agree with investing good money keeping this thing alive.
I doubt he'll make it to 'Life'.
Always nice to wake up to some good news.
He is not exactly going to be Mr popular in a British Gaol. One of the hardened crims will no doubt "show his appreciation" of a serial paedophile.
A bit worrying for the staff and other inmates that our highest security prison has a regime in which one of the more ' dangerous' prisoners can fashion a knife and has the freedom to access another's cell so easily to use it.
In some respects Florence is the way to go for this category of offender.
Huckle was indeed damaged goods and in gauging his depravity one wonders if his incarceration might have been better placed in a mental institution rather than a prison. The thing is, as it stands if one can rationalise according to society's norms and function well within it, one is considered sane yet I do not think anyone would argue with the reasonable proposition that a person who can only derive pleasure from sexual relations with infants and children, and who proselytises the practice to encourage others, is a very sick individual indeed.
Serial offenders of this nature, whether they be killers, rapists or aggressive paedophiles, are all psychopaths and should not be held within the common prison system but detained separately under a regime more appropriate to their mental aberration.
Frankly, this security breach is quite atrocious but then, under the past decade the Tories have pretty much shredded the education system, the justice system, the NHS, and the transport infrastructure, so one shouldn't be too surprised that the penal system is falling apart too.
Nonces have always had to look over their shoulders whilst under the care of Her Majesty's Prison Service. (Unlike HM's siblings and inner circle.)
according to todays news, the guy suspected of doing it was a serial rapist himself.Guy who did it deserves some form of recompense; a medal or a couple of years off his sentence.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-new...chard-20583006Fitzgerald, who is serving an indefinite jail sentence for a 2009 attack on a woman as she walked her dog, once reportedly boasted: "I love raping women."
violent offenders deserve to live out the rest of their lives in fear, misery, captivity and deprivation.
their lives of incarceration should be live streamed on dedicated you tube channels.
Interesting concept. The murder should extend the rapists sentence.
I like your idea of streaming it, not something I'd give a shit about enough to watch, but a good way to subsidise paying for their misery. Might put Love Island and that shit out of business though. Every chav's dream.
I agree. It would have been better if he suffered in fear for 30 years before he was murdered.

How a geeky schoolboy became Britain’s worst paedophile who abused 200 kids after saying he had “no confidence with women”.

Richard Huckle gazes innocently at the camera in his year 4 class photo, smartly dressed in his blue school uniform with his shirt collar neatly turned over.
Surrounded by his smiling classmates, it’s hard to imagine this middle-class eight-year-old would grow up to become Britain’s worst paedophile, raping and abusing up to 200 children, The Sun reports.
Huckle, 33, who awarded himself “PedoPoints” based on the severity of his crimes, was found stabbed to death in his cell at top-security Full Sutton jail, near York, on Sunday.

For some, it was a “just end” for a vile sex beast who abused kids, including a baby in a nappy, in Malaysia over nine years and sold images of his sick abuse on the dark web.
He targeted the vulnerable youngsters in churches, orphanages and schools.
But what turned a normal kid from a loving family into a sex monster who preyed on innocent children?
“LOVELY” PARENTS WITH GOOD MORALS
Huckle’s childhood bears none of the hallmarks of deprivation one might expect for one of the UK’s most prolific criminals.
While many paedophiles were sexually abused, neglected or abandoned as children, Huckle made no such claims and described his childhood as “ordinary”.
“His parents were lovely people and good parents,” a former schoolmate tells us.
He is also believed to have grown up with a brother.

MAKING A PAEDOPHILE
Living with his middle-class family in the leafy market town of Ashford, Kent in the UK, Huckle seemed destined for success, with churchgoing parents and childhood pals.
Fellow students at his Folkestone primary school remember him as a quiet but popular child who was among only a few pupils accepted into a selective all-boys grammar secondary school.
“He was so quiet, it was almost like he kept his academic ability a secret even as a child,” the source adds.
“He was a normal child, interested in normal things like Action Man.”

‘RAT-LIKE’ TEEN
But after finishing primary school and starting at nearby Harvey Grammar School, Huckle’s life began to unravel — as he “drifted away” from some pals and allegedly dabbled with petty crime.
“Huckle was a bit of an odd lad but he did have a few close mates,” one boy, who also attended the grammar school, tells us.
“He actually got into trouble for selling counterfeit Pokemon cards and was trying to make money on the latest trends.”
A fan of strategy card games like Warhammer, “loner” Huckle was an easy target for school bullies.
“He was an odd kid so he couldn’t go a day without some sort of ribbing about anything really,” our source says.
“He was called rat-like because of his appearance.”

FIRST TRAVELLING EXPERIENCE
When he was 16, Huckle went on a month-long expedition to visit a school in Namibia, Southern Africa.
After returning from the expedition, Huckle studied at South Kent College before, aged 19, he decided to take a gap year.
With so many thousands of British youngsters winding their way around Asia, he went unnoticed.
While most teens spend their gap years lounging around at beach bars, Huckle claimed to be doing charity work and used it as a cover story for his campaign of depraved abuse.

Huckle first visited Malaysia on a gap year teaching placement in 2005 before heading to Cambodia the following year, where he sexually abused two sisters aged four and six — although the crimes weren’t uncovered for another decade.
Over the next eight years, he groomed and sexually abused scores of other children overseas while posing as a well-educated English teacher, a photographer and a devoted Christian.
He targeted orphanages he was volunteering at as well as churches and schools.
While Huckle was surrounded by other young gap-year students, once more he found himself on the fringes of the group.

During his time in Malaysia, he shared a tiny apartment with Surrey mum-of-one Sammie Gee, who says he spent most of his time alone and never spoke of girlfriends.
He would later try to claim he had low self-esteem and a “lack of confidence with women”.
Some psychologists have made a link between sex offenders and rejection, with attackers often claiming to have been rejected by women at school.
‘HE GAVE ME THE CREEPS — BUT HE WAS CHRISTIAN’
With hindsight, Ms Gee, of Walton-on-Thames, said Huckle behaved strangely around children — but not in the way you might have expected.
“He was nervous. He wouldn’t talk to anyone or interact with the kids,” she said.
“He always had his camera round his neck, even in the classroom.

“We never gelled and there was always something odd about him, but he was a Christian and out there to do all these amazing things so we all gave him a chance.
“He was a very odd, sad, weasley guy who didn’t interact with people.
“I never got on with him, and he always gave me the creeps.”
But while Huckle put people on edge with his odd behaviour, they tolerated him out of respect for the charity work he was supposedly doing.
“He was out there to do all these amazing things so we all gave him a chance,” Ms Gee said.
Huckle’s former primary schoolmate, who was Facebook friends with him years after their education, recalls him sharing images of young boys on the beach at sunset.

“I thought these pictures looked quite strange and ‘suggestive’ as in how you would imagine an adult model to be posed, but the children were fully clothed,” says the source.
“It was clear that he had got these kids to pose.”
And Huckle’s Facebook friends had good reason to feel uncomfortable.
While by day he was posing as a missionary, he was sneaking off to brag about the “ease” of targeting Malaysian youngsters.
In posts later found by police on the dark web, he said: “Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids.”
He also created a 60-page “how to” guide for other paedophiles, kept a scorecard tallying the number of children abused and shared pictures and videos of himself raping kids.

‘I FELT SORRY FOR HIM’
But in between trips, when he returned home, Huckle appeared to those who knew him to be a pillar of the community.
He worshipped at Ashford Baptist Church and with a London-based congregation, according to Kent Live.
Although always on the fringes of groups, he still attended gap-year reunions, weddings and went on day trips to the seaside.
He also regularly updated his Facebook page with travelling snaps showing himself posing happily with the kids he may well have been secretly abusing.
To his old schoolmates, Huckle appeared “strange and lonely” on social media.
“The last I heard from him was in 2013,” adds our source.
“He sent me a random message on (Facebook) asking how I was. We had a brief chat but nothing out of the ordinary — he was very blunt in conversation.
“I remember feeling sorry for him — I thought he was lonely.”

ARREST AND SICKENING DISCOVERIES
The following year Huckle was finally arrested by the National Crime Agency (NCA) after Australian cops probing a notorious paedo website discovered his online activities and tipped them off.
He was arrested at Gatwick Airport after flying home to the UK for Christmas.
Huckle had amassed 20,000 images of child abuse and had even abused a baby girl in a nappy.
He initially denied his vile crimes but later confessed to his horrified parents.
Sickened by what their once-innocent little boy had done, they kicked him out and begged police to take him away.
“His mother was both extremely upset and extremely angry,” prosecutor Brian O’Neill QC told Huckle’s sentencing hearing at London’s Old Bailey in June 2016.
“She and his father called the police and asked them to take their son away.”
The pair both bravely gave witness statements for the prosecution.

STABBED TO DEATH BEHIND BARS
Huckle was later handed 22 life sentences after admitting to 71 counts of sex abuse against children — with the judge noting the number of victims was likely nearer 200.
In a statement to the press, Huckle tried to claim he had low self-esteem and a “lack of confidence with women”, and that he’d “completely misjudged the affections I received from these children”.
“I had hoped to escape this mundane life of solitude in the UK yet was overwhelmed by the attention I received in Malaysia,” he said.
“I am open and eager to rehabilitate from this offending behaviour.”
Huckle was ordered to serve a minimum of 25 years — meaning he could have been out by 2041. But last weekend he was knifed to death with a makeshift blade.

After his sentencing, he declared: “I don’t want to become a martyr to sex tourism in Malaysia.”
Yet it would seem that he’s finally paid the ultimate price for his crimes.
Today, some are furious that Huckle has been spared decades behind bars through his death while his young victims are forced to battle a life sentence of trauma.
Yet others feel differently.
“At least the world is rid of him and the taxpayer isn’t keeping a piece of c**p like that alive,” says his former secondary schoolmate.

Well clearly 'The Sun' is still a load of shit, anyway.
^ I thought some of the points in the article were a good look into the mind of this monster.
Such as,Huckle’s childhood bears none of the hallmarks of deprivation one might expect for one of the UK’s most prolific criminals.
While many paedophiles were sexually abused, neglected or abandoned as children, Huckle made no such claims and described his childhood as “ordinary”.
Do we really need pictures of him as a schoolboy? Not one but several?
Does Huckle's idea of 'ordinary' tell us much about his childhood?
Then there are repetitions of quotes, and silly, cliched claims based on little evidence like this...
Slim basis for the suggestion that he was a 'pillar of the community' to his friends, and yet his schoolmates thought he was 'strange and lonely' at the same time?
Just badly written and completely impossiible to believe.
In other words...'The Sun'.
It is a pity he was killed. He had much to offer those researching the pathology of this kind of diseased mind and the aberrant behaviour it manifests.
His death served no purpose and is only welcomed by the usual lower end blue collar oiks, the stupid, the ignorant and the loathsome who themselves are little better in the morality stakes than those they seek to abhor.
^^ Yeah, I get your point. It`s trashy journalism, I`m not going to argue with that.
^ Yes, it`s a shame he was killed. I get your reasoning, also, as the victims will be in therapy all of their lives it doesn`t seem fair that he is now simply `gone` and will feel nothing, ever again. I think the victims would have felt better about him being locked up, living in fear. You would think that it was highly likely he would never have been released.
I think the victims would be quite happy that he's dead, especially in the UK where there is always some fucking do-gooder campaigning to get oxygen thieves like this released "on compassionate grounds" or some such shit.
Speaking as a parent, the rage-driven urge to slowly throttle the life out of any paedophile that attempted harm to my child would evaporate if I found out someone had shanked the worthless piece of shit in a jail cell.
