'Every parent's worst nightmare': Monster who kidnapped 11-year-old girl off the street and raped her in 150-mile terror ride
A MONSTER paedophile who raped an 11-year-old girl after grabbing her off the street as she walked home has been branded "the living embodiment of every parent's worst nightmare".
Paul Ripley, 53, was jailed for abducting the terrified child in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire as she walked home from a friend's house last November.
A witness heard the girl scream as sick Ripley pulled up to the youngster, dragged her into his car and drove 150 miles north, where he raped her twice in a field.
Evil Ripley made the girl strip in the car, which was parked in the field, before he raped her.
He then wrapped duct tape over the girl's mouth and eyes and abandoned her in Darlington, County Durham, in the early hours of the morning.
The terrified child flagged down a passing taxi, telling the driver: "I don't know where I am. I'm from Ellesmere Port. I've been raped."
Fast-moving cops quickly tracked down Ripley's silver car on the M6 hours after the horrific attack, as the tramuatised youngster was returned to her frantic parents.
The sick rapist's DNA was recovered from his victim and he admitted two counts of rape, kidnap and dangerous driving at an earlier hearing.
Ripley was today handed an extended sentence on licence, putting him behind bars for between ten and 16 years.
The vile attacker, originally from Darlington but living in Ellesmere Port at the time, showed no emotion as he was sentenced at Chester Crown Court.
Judge Nicholas Woodward told him: "This must have been a harrowing ordeal where you specifically targeted a vulnerable child for your own sexual gratification.
"Children's freedom in modern society is affected by the concern caused by people like you.
"You are a very dangerous man, that is to say you present a significant risk to members of the public.
"In short, you are the living embodiment of every parent's worst nightmare."
Ripley had 27 previous convictions before the attack, but none for as serious crimes as the rape and not for the past 13 years.
The girl's mother in a victim impact statement read to the court said: "This was every mother's worst nightmare. My daughter was missing and we might never see her again. We were frantic with worry.
"I cannot imagine what my daughter went through. She felt fear, confusion, panic and loneliness. She felt she was going to die.
"She was a complete innocent with her whole life ahead of her. This has changed her, me and the family for ever. But she is the bravest person I know and she helped bring this man to justice.
"I cannot understand how a human being can do this. He makes my skin crawl and I will never forgive him."
