Three-year-old girl found tied up in closet and 'used as a sex slave by her mum's boyfriend'
COPS have arrested the parents of a three-year-old girl after she was found tied up in a closet and allegedly being used as a sex slave.
The toddler was rescued during a raid on a house in Phoenix, Arizona - after a tip off from a man who had been offered sex with her.
Officers found her malnourished, bound with duct tape in a rubbish bag and covered in her own faeces, reports FOX10.
Cops described the case as one that "shocks the soul."
The girl's mother, Mayra Solis, 21, and her boyfriend, Fransisco Javier Rios-Covarrubias, have been arrested.
According to ABC News, police were alerted to her plight by a man who had met Rios-Covarrubias online for casual sex.
When he arrived at his home, he noticed a bad smell and found the girl. He then alleges Rios-Covarrubias asked him if he wanted sex with the child.
The girl was hospitalized in fair condition and placed in temporary state custody. Police have said there is evidence she was sexually assaulted.
The mother is also accused of shaving her daughter's head to get money by claiming the girl had cancer.
She has been charged with child abuse and Rios-Covarrubias is facing charges of sex trafficking, kidnapping, sexual conduct with a minor and felony child abuse.
