Ambulance packed full of explosives found in front of German national stadium

A suspected terrorist plot is thought to have been foiled in Germany last night after a series of bomb scares rocked Hannover.

French intelligence officials are reported to have warned their German counterparts about a potential attack, sparking a string of security alerts this evening.

The spooks told German authorities that the terrorists might strike using an explosives-laden vehicle with official access to the football stadium, such as an ambulance, TV crew van or security patrol car, reports Die Welt.

According to German newspaper Bild, a North African terror cell was planning to attack Hannover with assault rifles and suicide vests - chillingly similar to the methods used in Paris on Friday which killed 129.

Local newspaper Kreiszeitung reported a vehicle disguised as an ambulance and packed with explosives had been discovered parked outside Hannover stadium as Germany prepared to take on the Netherlands.

Shortly after a concert venue, also in Hannover was evacuated as police ramped up security and part of Hannover's main railway station was closed due to a police investigation.

German media reported that the country's Minister of Interior Thomas de Meizere refused answer questions about the terror attack saying: “Some of these answers would unsettle the population.”

The events kicked off after German authorities said they received "concrete information" about a bomb threat at the HDI Arena leading to the international friendly being cancelled.

Well sounds like more Chinese whispers.

Officials say no explosives have been found at a soccer stadium in Hannover, Germany, despite a report from a German newspaper that a truck bomb disguised as an ambulance was located at the arena.

Lower-Saxony Interior Minister Boris Pistorius, said no explosives have been found at the stadium, HDI Arena. Pistorius, speaking at a press conference, also said no arrests have been made. The stadium was evacuated before Germany’s game against the Netherlands after several credible tips about a possible bombing were reported to German authorities just days after the Paris attacks were carried out by ISIS terrorists.

The newspaper Kreiszeitung reported a truck disguised as a rescue vehicle was found which led to the evacuation of the HD Arena and the cancellation of the game.
And watching the news, a Spirit Airlines plane was evacuated because some bird saw the bloke next to her watching the news on his phone and decided to shit a brick.

Honestly, if their aim is to frighten people, it's working innit?

The only news I get is that there was a bomb dummy at the main station in Hannover. Nothing on any bomb find near the stadium yet.

My bad guys.. (if it was just a false alarm)... can't blame them for being paranoid for a while though.. Yes, it's what the terrorists want (of course)..

Then when we are all complacent, they will strike again.. horrible, dangerous world we live in.
