I would put my money on the Saudi navy.

Seems the US, unless it's "misspeak", decided to ensure the well being of the GCC states.
Obama with his new coalition. Are they laughing at his camp stature and wave?
"President Barack Obama committed the United States to providing the Gulf nations with technical assistance against external attacks and to supporting efforts to develop region-wide ballistic missile defense capability."
Technical assistance, that covers all options from radios to nuclear warheads for the "home developed"missiles I presume. I presume a home founded, or more precisely headed by a willing local puppet, coup is off limits then.
Iran appeared on the agenda and a strong statement was issued, or misspoken.
"Obama said he and Gulf partners had “candid” talks about Iran’s “destabilizing activities in the region,” as well as the Islamic State and other security matters."
"They stressed the need for Iran "to engage the region according to the principles of good neighborliness strict non-interference in domestic affairs, and respect of territorial integrity.""
Any chance the US/GCC coalition will adhere to similar moral and social ethical principles which some poster here appear to believe the western countries adhere to.
In principle when speaking, or misspeaking, before any world institution of course, as would any"similar moral and social" country. In practice, not a chance, or maybe I have misunderstood this coalitions members past and current track record.
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
Seems the US government official POTUS, unless it's "misspeak", decided to ensure the well being of the GCC states.
Obama with his new coalition. Are they laughing at his camp stature and "hello sailor" wave?

Did the Saudi leader attend? It was reported that he wasn't keen to leave his country at this time.
It is just a bit funny when the US speaks of the above . . .Originally Posted by OhOh

Absent from Obama summit, Bahrain king to visit UK horse show
"DUBAI (Reuters) - Bahrain's King Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa has skipped a Gulf Arab summit with U.S. President Barack Obama, and will instead join Britain's Queen Elizabeth at a horse show and also discuss bilateral relations with her. Like Saudi Arabia's King Salman, King Hamad has decided to send his crown prince to the United States in his stead, in a perceived snub over Obama's drive to reach a nuclear deal with Iran, the arch-rival of America's traditional Gulf Arab allies"
So it was a US/GCC -2 meeting.![]()
