Yea, lets boggle the mind here and say you're an EMT and are sent to a medical emergency...Nope! I am not going to treat this persons emergency medical needs because they are gay! You must drink out of the same fountain as the rainbow geeks Humbert. Nothing like going to the extreme with you folks. Ridiculous!Originally Posted by Humbert
Next thing is you'll be banning straight people from making personal decisions as they "now get this, may reflect anti-gay actions or thought?"
Liberals are seriously sick.

It's not hyperbole. The bill would have provided a legal defense for EMT's, physicians, nurses, dentists etc. the right to refuse treatment on the grounds that doing so would be a violation of their religious freedom. If you think the bill is just about wedding cakes you belong in a world of unicorns and pastel ponies.Originally Posted by ltnt
^Bigotry draws strong reactions BM. But you are focusing on the wrong thing. This bill would have given individuals, businesses and corporations the right to refuse service on the basis of sexual orientation. Do feel it would be honky dory if Macy's at Castleton Mall in Indianapolis were to put up a sign at their door that said 'Gays, Lesbians and Transgenders' not allowed.'? They would have had a legal defense to do so.
Which is their right to do so. Perhaps this is a form of reverse discrimination? Of course the self righteous one's would certainly disagree.Originally Posted by misskit
As for Nurse's, doctor's and EMT's right to choose whom they would work on or not work on is pure speculation not something anyone has seriously voiced their intentions to do so based on "so called religious grounds."
QC has not fully grasped the actual law and its pretty milk toast concept. Religious freedom is not much different in respect to perhaps an expression that one has a right to their religious beliefs. Nothing is specifically stated in this law that prhibits any part of society from practicing their chosen belief system. So some extreme report, (lie), by a non-msmedia type has gotten the entire far-left twisting in the corridors of Indiana's state house. Its received the national and international gay community endorsement and that's all that is required for more than a few folks here to go on the gay agenda romp.
I suspect that is not accidental.Originally Posted by Humbert

Oh my, now we have the perfect example to prove my point. Gee, poor me, I'm being discriminated against because I am not free to discriminate against blacks, gays, muslims...
Never mind, Itnt. You and BM obviously did not have careers or live in progressive communities where discrimination was frowned upon. Nobody is stopping you from being a bigot.
^By that you mean a gay community? Nope never lived in one Humbert, tell us all about progressive communities and the public good.
Try and take an open view of others is perhaps one aspect of progressive thought. Hence POV Humbert and your seemingly lack of tolerance for anything that resembles in your POV anti-liberal thinking or organizations.
Your POV is prejudiced to the other extreme so far that you cannot see your own version of bigotry. Instead you plod on with the agenda ignoring your own failure to keep an open mind as well tolerance. Good for the goose but not for the gander eh?
Keep pandering I'm sure your gay friends and neighbors are all waiting for the public executions to begin...Pizza house discrimination...get a life folks.
^We can site dozens of gays killed in America simply for being gay, not for being straight.
What are you thinking, the gays will seek revenge for all the past murders?
It has to start somewhere does it not? Reading through this thread it is clear for any rational person to see who the bigots are on this thread. Boon has made his racists, misogynist and anti gay views clear for sometime.Originally Posted by ltnt

What do you think misskit? Gays murdered vs the everyday sort of murder now separated as a "hate crime." Dozens of gays, really?
Not being a bigot and not wishing to bring the wrath of the gay community down upon my head and shoulders, but I guess you haven't been reading the posts regarding the actions by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance in Indiana?
Yup, again I'm not concerned with gay rights, they have overwhelming rights it seems. Far in excess of their non gay citizens. Then who really cares if .01% of the population has handcuffed the remaining 99.99%?
My days now complete, bsnub has chimed in with his version of bigot...pov has a very narrow field it seems.
I told you before:Originally Posted by ltnt

Are you sure about the use of the word, "tolerated?" Actually Humburt you're 100% wrong on both statements, but don't let your bigots outlook cloud your POV based on your own personal selective definition of who and what constitutes bigotry.Originally Posted by Humbert
Your a funny guy Humbert. You actually think you're POV is special. It ain't its called the socialization of straight citizens into a belief that cannot be supported by actual fact or to use the gay definition, the turning of a citizen towards their belief system.
You my friend have been turned, not elevated to some higher being status.
That is "if," as I believe you are a heterosexual male married to a Thai lady?
In any case you would never believe my history with the liberal community you feel so connected to.
