None of those folks made up false documents now did they?

BRIAN WILLIAMS: I GOT ROBBED AT GUNPOINT WHILE SELLING CHRISTMAS TREES

Long before Brian Williams was caught lying about his chopper coming under fire in Iraq, he claimed he’d stared down the barrel of a bandit’s gun as a teenager in sleepy Red Bank, NJ.

In a 2005 interview with Esquire magazine, Williams said a thief drew on him in the 1970s — leaving him “looking up at a thug’s snub-nosed .38 while selling Christmas trees out of the back of a truck.”

He told the tough-to-believe story at least four times, claiming he was trying to help a local church when the thief snatched his money on West Front Street and Riverside Avenue.

“That wasn’t a bad job, until a guy came up and stuck a .38-caliber pistol in my face and made me hand over all the money. Merry Christmas, right? Of course, I suddenly appreciated the other jobs I thought I hated,” he told New Jersey Monthly in 2008.

But longtime Red Bank residents think it’s a tall tale.

You know not what you speak.

We're talking here about manufactured 'news' vs. right wing opinion.

It's lies all the way down with this guy:

‘That’s Crazy': Multiple Witnesses Contradict Williams’ Katrina Stories

Now that everything he has ever said about anything will be under scrutiny for a very long time, there is a lot out there. As of now, though, it is Brian Williams’ Tales from Katrina that are receiving an extra level of scrutiny. And they are not holding up very well. Witnesses are calling Williams’ Katrina stories of close calls at the five-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel “crazy.”

Williams told “The Great Deluge” author Douglas Brinkley that “armed gangs had broken into the 527-room hotel, brandishing guns and terrorizing guests.” Williams claims that at the time he was lying helpless on a mattress in a stairwell delirious with dysentery. He finally summoned the strength to escape, and after wading through two feet of water he made it through the front door of the hotel. Outside, things just got worse. Williams says he was confronted by a street gang trying to steal his car. A National Guardsman appeared just in time.

That is the stuff of action movies. The problem is that witnesses who were there say it didn’t happen."

Heh...OK boys & girl, name one, just one reporter on the Right who manufactures whoppers like this Williams guy or Dan Rather or...anyone of them from Susan Rice on down: "It was the Video"!

LISTEN: STARS AND STRIPES FULL AUDIO OF BRIAN WILLIAMS HELICOPTER EXPLANATION

Monday, “Stars and Stripes” released the full audio and transcript of its interview with NBC News anchor Brian Williams from last week.

In the February 4 interview, Williams admits he was mistaken when he said he was on the helicopter hit by a rocket-propelled grenade, but claims he was “fired upon,” and said he was unaware his flight was actually far behind the convoy with the hit Chinook.

Transcript as follows (courtesy of Stars and Stripes):

Can you imagine if Williams keeps his job and then interviews Hillery?

NBC investigating Brian Williams' claims that he witnessed fall of Berlin Wall and met Pope John Paul II

NBC is expanding its inquiry into the alleged tall tales of suspended “Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams, CNN reported Thursday.

The network’s internal fact-checking is “nowhere near done,” a senior NBC source told the cable news channel."

Brian Williams Blocked Stories Critical of Obama on the Grounds That They Were "Divisive"

    I can't believe it!

"The Nightly News crisis exposed deep-rooted anger among many NBC journalists, who felt frustrated that Williams had been allowed to gain so much power. In recent years, the anchor had churned through executive producers who challenged him.

Others complained about Williams’s unwillingness to go after hard-hitting stories. Multiple sources told me that former NBC investigative reporters Michael Isikoff and Lisa Myers battled with Williams over stories. In February 2013, Isikoff failed to interest Williams in a piece about a confidential Justice Department memo that justified killing American citizens with drones. He instead broke the story on Rachel Maddow. That October, Myers couldn’t get Williams to air a segment about how the White House knew as far back as 2010 that some people would lose their insurance policies under Obama[at]care. Frustrated, Myers posted the article on NBC’s website, where it immediately went viral. Williams relented and ran it the next night. “He didn’t want to put stories on the air that would be divisive,” a senior NBC journalist told me. According to a source, Myers wrote a series of scathing memos to then–NBC senior vice-president Antoine Sanfuentes documenting how Williams suppressed her stories. [at]Myers and Isikoff eventually left the network (and both declined to comment)."

Did Brian Williams bury stories that hurt the Obama administration? « Hot Air

Wouldn't want to be too divisive now would we?

To what ends? Divisive to whom? Obama, sure but why, whats the motive? All POTUS have negative press, why this particular suppression of the news by this particular person? Who's payroll is he on? George Soro's clan?
