Leave the profession why? It's the norm isn't it?
Fox will snap him up in a heartbeat.

Or CNN, or BBC, or any other mainstream media. Propaganda and lies all the way.

When I was growing up we has a show called a current affair, it had proper reporters doing investigative work into corrupt pollies, geo politics in the region, expose stuff.
Now it covers dancing with the stars, weight loss programs and kim kardashian..

Drop The Dead Donkey was not set in a newspaper office but a cable news channel. The early series were excellent

    Conflation, eh?

Brian Williams Not Alone; Hillary Clinton Lied About Being Shot At In Bosnia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — In the wake of NBC Anchor Brian Williams apologizing for a story that he has told a number of times in which he falsely claims to have been in a helicopter that was shot at by a rocket-propelled grenade, former CBS investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson shared a similar story about presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton with WPHT morning host Chris Stigall in November of 2014.

Brian Williams may be an ass and a liar, but the recent pictures of journalists being executed by ISIS showed some real men and some real courage. That Japanese victim last week, you didn't see him crying or begging for his life. If there was anything admirable in those horrible killings, it was the brave behavior of those who were about to die and knew it.

I admired their behavior, you can kill me but you cannot take away my dignity.

Not like they had any choice in the matter...burned alive in a cage brings about some pretty clouded definitions of "courage," eh Bob?

As for newscasters, I believe they're called "News Personalities," these days. anything relating to news is an accident.

NBC is waiting for their pollsters before they react one way or the other. Also consulting their legal teams for any liable. Should he be dismissed? Or should he be promoted? That's the question within the organization, not that he's a fucking LIAR!

Funny to see all the conspiracy theory bashers coming out saying that they also don't trust the mainstream press to actually report anything truthfully. Wonder why?

State TV only give the government line (BBC is the worst of the worst like this with people still believing the biggest lie of all that they are "impartial"). Governments and politicians all sponsored by big corporations and the elite, especially in the US, and all corporations are sponsored by the big banks so no matter if they are big business or banker sponsored, they do what the banks and uber rich want them to do, and the state media reports this point of view.

The "independent" media are funded by corporations including banks and are owned by the uber rich as well. They therefore will only show what this group of people want showing.

How they say in Thailand - same same message with the only difference being which colour flag they fly which doesn't matter because the blue and red flags are all owned by the same people who own the media and politicians.

So again - why be shocked when one of these propaganda repeaters are caught lying? Its their job to lie so you gullible fools follow the corporate line.

    Saps.

One journalist exaggerates a bit , says he was in a helicopter that got shot down, whereas in fact he was in another helicopter that didnt get shot down .
His exaggeration was shown to be incorrect . And he admitted the incorrectness .
That doesnt show that all journalist are liars and everything they write is a lie .
It shows that when journalist do exaggerate, they are caught out , so most other things they write are generally true .
Its remarkable that the very same people who dont believe anything written in the mainstream media, believe everything , without question that is written on infowars and the like , even when the story is different to the heading .
The same people who dont trust the mainstream media , believe infowars , when infowars cites the Washington post , and cites them incorrectly .
    Bewildering

No, they had no choice, this is not the Japanese one, but I consider the man about to die to be showing a great deal of courage. Maybe you should think before being sarcastic. They took his life but they didn't take his dignity. He's not crying like a little bitch. Would you have the balls to behave the same way?

Not being from the USA and having no interest in the Countries affairs, I have never heard of him . But, when talking about the distant past, many people are inclined to exaggerate a bit , especially in war situations .
A helicopter did indeed get shot down, he told the truth in that respect .
He was in a helicopter on the day in the area, he told the truth in that respect .
The only detail that was incorrect was which helicopter he was in .
So, it wasnt a complete lie , he just got a few minor details wrong .
It was a long time ago, so he can forgiven for getting a few details mixed up .
Can you remember exactly where you were 20 years ago .
Whether you was in either one bus or another one right behind ?

You don't forget facts about being shot down in a helicopter. Period. I was in a helicopter that got hit multiple times and auto-rotated into a rice paddy. It was November 13th, 1968 at 9:30 AM. You never forget. He lied. Period.

I don't give a crap about your 'club'. My problem is with you presenting this liar as having 'slightly exaggerated' rather than admitting he lied, over and over for years, about the incident.

I also don't care about 'journalistic integrity' because I don't believe such a thing exists.

    Let's just call a liar a liar.

The guy lied. He can dissemble until hell freezes over and the more explanations he offers the more stupid he appears. And it's not a left - right issue either.

Channel 4's Cathy Newman Apologises After CCTV Footage Emerges Of Mosque Incident

Channel 4's Cathy Newman Apologises After CCTV Footage Emerges Of Mosque Incident

Channel 4 presenter Cathy Newman has apologised after CCTV footage obtained by The Huffington Post UK appeared to contradict her claim that she was "ushered out of the door" of a London mosque on the weekend.

The South London Islamic Centre, where Newman claims she was turned away despite turning up wearing a headscarf, says surveillance video shows the reporter arriving at the mosque, being directed by a male congregant, but leaving alone through the courtyard.

Newman sparked a social media firestorm after tweeting she was "ushered onto the street" during 'Visit My Mosque Day' which the mosque said provoked threatening voicemails which it has reported to police.
....and another one. Absolute bullshit lies from another "respected" TV media news reporter.
