RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — The king of Saudi Arabia has warned that extremists could attack Europe and the U.S..
A day after the UK statement.

To the usual gang of naysayers and 5th columnists, the government has a duty to the public to provide a warning if there is evidence of a possible terrorist attack. This group would be the first to attack the government if no warning was given.

No. Initially Qatar and Turkey. Due to EU pressure, it's just Qatar now. Interesting enough, Qatar is the major financial funder of Hamas.
ISIS is opposed to the House of Saud and wants them all dead.
It's actually quite something to see ISIS as an enemy of both Iran and Saudi Arabia and the west.
So far, ISIS has only taken on weak states; Iraq, Lebanon and Syria. it would be quite something if ISIS expands its activities in Lebanon or takes a swing at the UAE as it has threatened. The beheading of the captured Lebanese soldier subsequent to a raid on a Lebanese border base does not bode well.
The UAE is on their target list ever since the UAE airforce used Egyptian airbases to attack rebels in Libya.

But they don't have any evidence.

The UK's terror threat level has been raised from "substantial" to "severe" in response to conflicts in Iraq and Syria, Home Secretary Theresa May says.
The new alert level rates the risk of an attack on the UK "highly likely", although Mrs May said there was no evidence to suggest one was "imminent".

The JTAC have just considered the current situation and changed the word used for the probability. They have probably been listening to too many politicians.
