    Many people in Somerset, one of the hardest-hit counties in the southwest, blame the devastating floods on the failure of the Environment Agency - a government body - to dredge local rivers.
    So it's got nothing to do with weather then? And has been pointed out the wettest Jan. in almost 250 years.

    Memories fail, people with knowledge die, greedy developers and house owners build on marginal land and then it is the governments fault. FFS

    The town I used to live in, which is older than 1766 and there has been a market there since 1230, is built on a slight rise. I wonder why?
