Ah, that tired old argument. No, Islam is not a race, what is racist is when people use Islam as a euphemism for brown-skinned people which is what many EDL members do. EDL as an organisation is not overtly racist, however many of it's members are. The overt racism and stupidity of many of its lower-ranking members has already proved an embarrassment to a number of the EDL leaders, some of whom have left the EDL because of this.

It wasn't news here because it was just a squabble between teen gangs. Big deal. I wonder if the EDL demo will be as big as the one here in Manchester two weeks ago. 5 fat middle-aged men turned up and went straight to wetherspoons.

Tell MAM group lost it's funding grant of £375,000/yr after it's founder Fiyaz Mughal reportedly blew up at a meeting where his version of events didn't stack up in reports of a wave of Islamophobic attacks.

The Department of Communities and Local Government funded MAMA and the Communities Minister had earlier decided not to refund the group, and that Fiyaz Mughal's activities as its founder, would be monitored.
