A Danish dating website is running a competition to reward the user with the smallest penis with an iPhone.

The owner of Singlesex.dk Morten Fabricius said the competition was designed to boost the confidence of less-endowed men.

"There are so many unhappy men out there, who think you have to have a giant penis, but it's not normal to have a huge one," Mr Fabricius told AFP.

Male users are being asked to submit photos of themselves for women users to judge.

The runner up will received an iPad 3 while the winner will go home with Apple's new iPhone 5, with entries closing on January 31.

Mr Fabricius said the competition was "at the core of manhood, the most important thing for a man".
