Teen killed boy for his mobile on same day he was in court over knife attack


Nathan McLeod, 16, has been found guilty of murdering a boy for his mobile phone - just hours after being given a detention and training order over another knife attack.

McLeod was convicted of killing Temidayo Ogunneye in May last year – while on bail for attacking a gas man with a bread knife.
McLeod stabbed 15-year-old Temidayo in the heart in Camberwell, south London, after a row broke out over the youngster’s mobile phone.

Earlier that day, McLeod, from Thornton Heath, Surrey, had appeared at Camberwell youth court for attacking a man who had come to service his boiler.
He injured the technician with a bread knife and also threw a brick at his van, for which he received an eight-month detention and training order.
Judge Gerald Gordon, at the Old Bailey, yesterday lifted a court order to name McLeod.
Another man, Darius Kwakye, 19, from Camberwell, was cleared of murder but found guilty of two counts of robbery for taking Temidayo’s phone and one belonging to his friend.
McLeod and a third man – Kieron Carew-Donaldson, 19 – had already each admitted two counts of robbery. They will be sentenced on March 15.

So, he tried to murder the guy who came to fix the gas boiler? "I like cold showers you bastard!"
