Considering a trip there this weekend, anyone visited or have suggestions and recommendations?

chase the sheep on the great orme, no dancing in the hotels, take a badg of e's and sleep in the back of your XR2, oh sorry, that was 1989. Some good chippies, go the Conwy, and dont take the old road along the coast from Prestatyn, its 25 miles and hour and you will die of aold age before you get there.

    Rhyl is still shit
    we won it at wemberlee
we on it in gay paree...

    Holy fooking seaguls!!!

Some granny on crutches has walked out of reception and said to me..." you'll know! Where's the day time disco?

    FFS!

    I've never been so insulted.

Anyhow let's get this trip report started...

    Booyakasha!

Time to hit the road with a right Royal picnic for the 2 hour drive..

    Posh hey?

    Llandudno-20260614_125447-jpg

What's inside I hear you ask!

Salmon and cucumber sandwiches with the crust cut off or jam and creme scones perhaps??

    Let's keep it real..

    Llandudno-20260614_125459-jpg

The main course rescued from the yellow sticker section last night.

Dryair fried salt n pepper belly pork , minted pork feta kebabs and honey glazed chicken all for less than the price of a Greggs sausage roll!

    Booyakasha..

    Correctomundo Nammers!

The Alice in Wonderland Trail in Llandudno is a magical 3-mile (4.6 km) self-guided walking tour. It features over 30 points of interest and wooden sculptures celebrating the seaside town’s deep ties to Lewis Carroll and the real Alice Liddell, who holidayed there in the 1860s

You get to go gown the rabbit hole...

The sky is pink and the seaguls are still lurking with intent at 10.30pm akin to the Hitchcock movie The Birds!

    Anyhow, back on topic....Llandudno!

I'm sitting here with my sundowner, yes it's still light.
The sky is pinkish and the pies is lit up, there's no groups og hen parties and stags causing havoc.

It's a very relaxing and pleasant seaside town, if you haven't then I highly recommend it.

I'll let today's pics fo the talking...

BLD - even chitty's linguistic cow pats are beyond your comprehension.

His post makes it clear he didn't go to this doubtless enchanting function.

Must have smashed a 100K steps over the last few days!

Awoken by a rat of the sky trying to smash its way through our window..

    Llandudno-20260614_213053-jpg

The view from the top of the Great Orme..

    Llandudno-20260615_104240-jpg

Plenty of mountain goats about, but this is the only one I snapped up close..

    Llandudno-20260615_103159-jpg

    Another ruddy seagul..

    Llandudno-20260615_105326-jpg

A Geologists wet dream is the chunk of rock..

    Llandudno-20260615_121454-jpg

The lighthouse BnB located on the far west of the rock..

A bit dead around here, let's go exploring...

Literally a stones throw or a long bows arrow away we have another quaint town, can you guess its name?

It's doesn't get more British than this...

    Llandudno-20260615_134525-jpg

    You can walk the walls..

    Llandudno-20260615_125120-jpg

Imagine the satisfaction of defending your home and castle by dropping boulders, spares, arrows and hot oil onto the invaders.
    Llandudno-20260615_135353-jpg

    Shell fish pots..

    Llandudno-20260615_133746-jpg

    Business opportunity!?

    Llandudno-20260615_134051-jpg

    This will give it away.

Eight in a bed , one up one down. First up best dressed, aye the good old days..
