Mostly I do but sometimes it gets a bit too much. I've got no problem with people disagreeing with me but a licence to insult ahd disrupt, no matter what part of the forum it's in, is beyond the pale. TD is a probably the best forum for those who need to understand the practicalities of moving to Thailand but for those who've been here a while and want to know more and learn about the history, culture, politics, and society of where they live it's an ill-managed joke. TD, imo, has pretty much cornered the market for first time immigrants to Thailand but fails miserably when it comes to catering to those who've lived here a while and want to know more. IMO an equally large market.
The thing is is that TD was started as a direct consequence to over-moderated forums such as Thai Visa & Ajarn who would delete and ban when people posted something not 'in line' with the management. With that in mind, the mods & DD pretty much leave posts and posters alone unless it is demonstrated that someone has a problem with a post by way of the report button.

The thread you have issues with is in the news section. This section has loads of new threads every day, most of which are simply read or ignored completely. But occasionally, there are threads in there that strike a chord with posters and turn into threads that perhaps should be in Issues where (in theory) they will be moderated with a firmer hand (but we all know it's not happening like that at the moment).

The problem with finding mods for issues is an even greater one, as most people interested in those threads are usually very biased/derranged and wouldn't make very good mods. Those posters who are fairly well balanced, tend to stay away from Issues.

What to do?
