    Posting Windows media video

Every time I stumble across one of those WMF-boxes where you can click and watch a clip, usually of DD looking out of his car or into various short-time bars, my (Firefox) browser freezes and tells me an illegal plugin has been performed.

Something about firefox I don't know? Do I need to change some settings?

We answered this before in one of the technical forum, you need a plug-in to disable auto-loading of WMF in FireFox

Ahh, a combination of these two tips works, the browser doesn't freeze anymore.

But, I'm not gonna wait for a 2 mb file to load on my connection, thanks anyway.

Mine's started crashing again now as well, it was ok for a few weeks. I've downloaded the addon but still the same. I can't read half the board without FF crashing. DD cant you just post links to the files instead.

hmm I'm pretty sure I've got the latest FF, it still just keeps crashing, last week it was fine, could'nt see the video's but that no prob as I've never got enough bandwidth to download them anyway, but at least it was'nt crashing.

I've got the latest FF and the latest extensions. Sometimes FF freezes and I switch off my ADSL box and then on again. That usually wakes up FF.

But the safest way for me is always to download to my hard drive and play from there.
