The 'view all' function

when viewing a multi-page thread (like the current photo comp thread) why can't i click on 'view all' so i can look at the whole thread, without having to wait for each page to load? ...

It's a good function they had on the otter channel, so why don't you have it dog?

if you go into your user panel, then edit options you can show 40 posts per page, that is the most you can have, some threads are pictorial and 20 pages long, that would be a big load on the server if they were all opened at the same time.

It would take ages to load, but you would have enough time to go and do something useful instead of all the little waits between pages.

I suppose you could nicely ask all posters to limit themselves to NOT continue posting on any thread that has 40 or more posts, thereby 40 posts per page would be a view all function...

The easiest and fastest way is to open page one. Then right click on the "2" where it says "Page 1 of 4 1 2 3 ...

Load page "2" in another tab while you read page "1". After reading page "1" then close the tab, on the tab with page "2" then right click on the "3" and then open in new tab. Read page 2 while page 3 loads, etc ect ect..

Maybe it would be nice to have a button that would load all pages in seperate tabs, so you could do it once, but if its a huge thread with lots of pics this wouldn't be too good.

^thats the way I watched a whole series of Ramsay on youtube, when my connection was slow, had tabs everywhere thanks FFox
