    New Posts Page

dd -- i use the new posts page almost exclusively to move around the site. if i am the last poster on a thread (or nothing has been posted since my last visit) it doesnt show up as a last post. on the other channel, my posts do show up on the page but the thread name is "dimmed" to show that nothing new has occured since my last visit. i really like this. would it be a difficult thing to do to make this small change on td? if i have spoken unclearly or stupidly, please forgive my ignorance. my computer skills and IT vocabulary are worse than my spelling. thanks

I will wait till some other respond to this as it is a function I don't use and have no idea how people would like it.

Was going to post something similar, I think. I'm not sure I follow exactly what you are suggesting though?

I use the New Posts feature most and have no problem as I only see New Posts ordered from latest. I also use My Replies often and have a problem because the list doesn't show in order of new replies (i.e. bold ones first) since my last reply.

Maybe some way of setting this up but have yet to figure it out.

stated differently i am suggesting a minor change that would allow the new posts page to include ALL new posts even if i am the last poster or i have visited the thread and nothing has changed.

I think it is a good idea also. It would be easier because you do not have to wait the 20 seconds to search your replies.

    What browser are you using?

the Opera browser doesnt refresh properly.

try pressing "ctrl" key and "f5" at the same time.

or put another way, its rubbish.

And while Im having a moan, the "search" facility is absolute pants also.

The rigmarole of posting pictures puts me off posting any more than one per week.

A few things need sorting DD, IMHO

I think being able to cut and paste pics directly into a post would do a lot for DD's request to members to post more with pics.

I'm with the volcanic silica glass on this one... the new posts link should include the threads you've posted on, not just if they've been replied to.

Unless, of course, Noodles replied then stick the dog fucker in MKP.

That's what I have set. When I copy pic and try to paste in the post, the paste function is not functional (not highlighted). Might be a firefox problem?

need to highlight the pic your copying first . ie if your paste function is greyed out it means there's nothing copied to paste .

I think My Replies would be more useful if it listed them in chronological order.

The Search function works OK for me. Posting pics is an ass tear for dial-uppers like me. Posting webshots is a breeze.

Use nothing but the "New Posts" function. It seems to work fine for me, and I like that it does not show my last replies because I like to thin out the number of pages as I go along and either post or read a thread.
