Looper, does the same thing happen on EiA? Both TD and EiA use cloudflare.

^It was only TD that was blocked.

All other Cloudflare sites, including EIA were working fine.

The problem persisted across all 4 machines for a month and then when FF 147.0.1 replaced FF 146.0.1 on all my machines this week the problem stopped.

Thank goodness, as FF is the only browser I know that allows me to block animations in animated avatars, which I find strangely distracting when trying to read posts.

Interesting. My Firefox updates seem to have occurred on the same dates as you, Looper (18 December for 146.0.1 and 16 January for 147.0.1), but my computer did not have the same issues as you did. That said, my computer struggled with Cloudflare on TD on Friday 17th Jan. after 147.0.1 was installed. It's OK now, though.

^I am getting the verify tick request every 20 minutes

As well as an FF refresh I also got a Windows login refresh picture of the world

The cerulean blue waters of Pattaya, apparently a famed snorkelling spot attracting snorkellers from around the world!

I remember exploring that temple about 20 years ago and being surprised at such an atmospheric building in such a den of iniquity. Probably my favourite Thai temple in its ungaudy bare wood simplicity.

This weird glitch came back again when FF upgraded to 151.0.2

Cured by uninstalling and downgrading to 150.0.3

Luckily FF posts most recent version here which allows you to downgrade one step

    Client Challenge

It had 150.0.3 offered but now I have downgraded it now offers 149.0.2, so you could keep going back very slowly if you wanted to

Of course I forgot to backup my bookmarks (which get trashed when you downgrade) and was cursing my dopiness but then found that FF actually auto-backs up book marks under profiles under C:\Users\[profile]\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox

I disabled auto-updates in FF now

    Jolly good - carry on

The 'Verifying you are a human' page appears but the Cloudflare logo never appears beneath it.

Instead, an eggtimer appears and then 10 seconds later the page reloads and that goes on forever.

I tried a couple of different machines, and it is the same on all.

I tried disabling uBlock and ABP but that did not resolve the issue.

No issues on Brave mobile or desktop

Use Brave. It blocks all the youtube ads too. And you can shut the screen off and your youtube video will keep playing. It is like free youtube premium

Well, that's the version I am running without problem.
I notice the Cloudflare verification page coming up every now and then for a second checking that I'm ok without me having to intervene but TD is the only site it shows up for so something is wrong on the TD server side.

No issues on latest version. Clearly this not an issue with FF itself. As I said before its most likely an extension blocking the site.

I am running 151.0.2 and can log in without any issues. The Cloudflare page shows up and it takes a second or two to verify, but it transfers to the Teakdoor home page.

I tried with Brave and it has started appearing last few days but only here on TD .

I am a whizz at drinking dogging and forex futures but I will leave hi tech to our experts.

It is a minor annoyance or mia noi as they say here that I can be reading some bezel of wisdom from BLD go to the espresso machine and when I get back have to click cloudflare again.

If it stops the smegbots crashing the site so be it , however the must be a solution that other sites use, tho perhaps those cost big bucks.

Could we also have a button "do you wish to see the clean Spamdreath free version"? A sorta outta kilter fillter!

Is anyone not having this issue? and if so what broswer are you using please ?

Also may I humbly ask who installed cloudflare and why ?

I do not recall having any such issues after the ninitial click upon logging in until the last few days . I have tried with Chrome and Brave, I see others have had issues with Firefox too, has Clouflare done an 'update"?

I would be happy to use another browser like Opera or Edge to avoid the endless re clicks.

cloudflare is a service that does many things, but here, it's main purpose is to reduce the number of bots hitting the site. Earlier in the week we had over 7000 bots visiting us, which is hard on the server and takes up a lot of bandwidth.

That was one of the reasons why the server was going down so often last year, too many db connections being made by thousands of bots.

I may see a cloudflare human verification thing once a day.

I use Chrome on my laptop and Edge everywhere else, not a problem so far. I tried reproducing Looper's issue and FF worked fine for me, so, like Molle said, it's probably an extension he's using.

I recommend Edge, I really like it.

Where are these bots coming from, for we know? I find it amazing someone would try to attacked TD. Unless is a disaffected former member.

China and Europe mostly. They're supposedly AI training bots sent out to learn humanities knowledge by scraping the internet. Last year, when I looked, one datacenter located in Singapore had over 1200 bot on here. Another one in China had something like 900, each bot using a different IP address so banning that way took forever. The .htaccess file for here already has something like 2000 entries in it, many entries banning entire IP ranges.

They find an unprotected site and swarm. The other forum had to have cloudflare put on it as well for the same reason, but that one is managed by Vbulletin.

We're probably doing a good service and making AI stupider.
