Must put them in the gallery before you can post in the thread.

Ive gotten as far as getting to the "choose" option on uploading a picture off of the document file on my computer. When I press continue, I get a "0 uploads were sucessful and down lower a message that "forbidden file extension." I've tried several different sized photos and nothing gets past that point. What am I doing wrong?

    Everything.

Have you actually read the tutorial on how to post pictures?

    No? Oh that explains it...

There's 3 f###ing tutorials on how to post (at least that I've found in 5 minutes time). Ive read KW's but not DD or the other whose name escapes me now. Actually, MD, if I had known how to post pictures last year, the can of window glazing and my tutorial on how to use it would have been put up when I finished my house in Saraphi. I think that I like my solution better; post the pictures on Photobucket and then let anyone that wants to see them go there.

To answer DD, I used PIXresizer and used jpeg and one other format (they offer 5 plus jpg, which isn't one of the formats that I tried). I'll try it, thanks!

why cant we have a browse your own computer and upload straight into the posts type of facility like other forums do instead of having to go through this lengthy and complicated process. things are supposed to be easier with computers, so why make them so difficult.

    click click click done finished.

I tried to upload in jpg format but didn't have any luck. Its 9:15 P.M. here and Im going to call it a night on the computer. I'm sure its some dumb mistake that I've done to my pictures but I did follow KW instructions, which are very clear, to the letter. I'll try again tomarrow.

If your photos are in Photobucket, why on Earth are you trying to upload them from your PC?

Get the URL of the picture from PB, click this bloody button and paste the url into it.

    Easy, done.

Because that is quite often the best way to perform exploits on a forum, forum software is great for text, but allowing attachments isn't really such a great idea. There is a good one being used on IPB boards at the moment, it seems to really fok up the whole forum and attacks visitors to the forum with trojans, obviously once someone has a trojan on your pc you have no idea what they may do next, and thats why we don't bother allowing attachments.

^Believe me, everything done on the forum is done for a reason, I may not at a later date remember what the reason was, but it is done for a reason

Khun DD, possibly when something is done for a reason, it should be for a "good" reason and not just a reason. It is like practicing. One can practice all day long for days on end, but if they are not practicing correctly, they are gaining proficiency but not in the maner it should be or in the correct manner.
... or in this case, do something for the right reason. this is not to say that your reasoning isn't correct, it is just a clarification of your statement....

Did you make that post for a reason and if so was it a good reason?
Were you practising all day for a reason ?
You sound like a reasonably guy so can I reason with you correctly.

    Shit, this stuff is strong
