    Let's see what happens...

As luck would have it I live in one on the 13 lowest districts of Bangkok. A big 'mooban' towards the outer part of Ramkhamhaeng Rd.

So our house looks like a scene from my basic training days. Sand bags everywhere and a pump in the ready. Yes, our soi does flood from time to time but this one may be just a bit different.

    Check out this website.

I do not have the time to explain everything, but it shows where the water is going. This is a Thai site but there is an English version.

At least my wife bought a 3-person boat a couple of weeks ago. Come to think of it the only people staying here other than me is my wife, daughter and MIL...

Good luck to you Hillbilly. Make sure you have the food and drink you like so you can be happy if you get stuck in.

One might have to play with this Beta map a bit to make it work.

Who says life is fair? As things often happen we have made plans to move some of our belongings next door to an empty 2-story home. This is supposed to happen tomorrow. A bit of an irritation but this is life in Thailand.

Mother Nature says who cares, it is now raining down steadily. I hope the 1-1.5 meter flood forecast is wrong.

Update: The rain within a matter of minutes has picked up considerably, should be fun boys, hang on...
