"German-grown beansprouts are the likely cause of the E.coli outbreak, say health authorities investigating the crisis. A spokesman for the agriculture ministry in Germany's Lower Saxony state said people should stay away from eating the beansprouts, which are often used in mixed salads.

The *astards. Just when we had thought that we had won World War II the cunning *unts seek to conquer Europe with the insidious 'beansprout ploy'. It is within living memory that the frogs tried to conquer our fair isle with their fabled evil smelling 'garlic' and that was after a severe, albeit repelled, attack by the Spanish Onion Bicycle Brigade.
