Noise Cancelling Headphones

Elton John is at the moment playing an open air concert here in Scarborough England and unfortunately the wind is bringing the faggots noise into my home .
Later some drunken yobs might also disturb the peace.

I was wondering if anyone has tried noise cancelling headphones?
I think they are made for Airplanes to cut out the drone of the other passengers, but they might be good for peace and quiet elsewhere ,
Are they any good ?

Your local gun shop will sell them, also ear plugs, also guns if they get too noisy.

those Bose headphones look good, but at £279 a pop

get yourself a cheaper set (£15), they are around.

Philips SHN2500 - headphones - Ear-bud, Binaural

Compare the Db reduction thats all you are after.

That is unless you want to bay 18x cost for the logo and to be able to tell your "friends" you have some bose headphones.
