Thread: Are there any other website to order high end computer parts from besides thanni.com?

I put together a 40,000 baht computer system with thanni.com on Friday and after several emails they finally tell me today, 6 days after I paid, that some of the parts are not available. I reorder and now some of those parts are not available.

Their customer service sucks and I am getting really fed up.

I want to cancel but would like to know if there are any other sites around that offer high end parts.

I can also travel to Chiang Mai if needed but I am unsure if they carry the same high end parts in town.

The original order was for:

They don't have the case, CPU heatsink, or mainboard.

So now I have to try to mix and match parts I really didn't want with this system.

Thanni also fucked me about by sending half orders and making mistakes about what was in stock and what was unavailable.
Months later their website was still showing stock of out stocked items.
I don't use them anymore.

^ Not a gamer, I just don't want a computer to crap out on me in the next year. That machine should be good for about 3-4 years.

I found the biggest problem over here is keeping the machine cool. The hotter the parts get the quicker they wear out.

what do you mean crap out ? you can get low end or standard and they won't crap out if you take care of it in a normal fashion

actually the higher end are more likely to crap out, overheating and overspecs

get an UPS also, high end doesn't mean anything, that's why I was asking if you were a gamer, as for them it would actually matter

I do already have a UPS, helps to keep the line stable.

I placed an order with invadeit and some parts they didn't have so i had to use thanni.


We'll see how it goes...........

Par for the course with Thanni.
They refused to cancel my order and insisted on supplying the parts that were in stock.
That was after telling me send them the money for the whole order.
I ended up with half a computer. Bloody useless.

On top of that, they sent me a refund for the parts that were out of stock and put CASH in the parcel.
I'm not dealing with any business who is that careless with my money

They refuse to give me a refund and now say they will send the parts they have. What good is half a computer?

I don't even know what they will send as they kept saying this is available and now its not, etc. No final order was ever agreed upon.

So I got half a computer coming with parts unknown and they still have my money.

Exactly the same run around that I got.
They will send you half the parts and some cash.
You won't know what's coming until it arrives.
Unless the postman twigs that there is cash inside and then you will be lucky to get anything.

next time buy at Pantip plaza, they are ready in the hour with the part you want

I wouldn't trust any Thai online business here, always a question of time before they fuck up

They sent me some of the parts I wanted and some I didn't that were about 4000 baht more expensive. In order to offset the difference they left out the processor and sent the remaining 3000 baht IN CASH in one of the boxes.

They also shipped it NimSee Seng which is not what I paid for and I am lucky the LCD didn't break.

Sound like I got the same treatment as Thetyim and I won't be ordering from them in the future.

Ohh yeah, Thai cops are as useful as a "long, wet, dribbling fart"--(c) 2011-thegent--. They couldn't care less about what was happening and could't be bothered to help as it wouldn't line their pockets.

It was at the IT section or internet department. Whatever it's called. We called the consumer protection agency in Bangkok and the first step they said was to file a report with the police. In order to get the consumer agency involved a police report is needed, but when the police refuse to help there is nothing you can do. I can't say my hopes were to high going to th cops but I at least thought they would do more than bold face lie to us.

The wife summed it up beautifully when she said "You know why a company like Thanni.com can still do business in Thailand? It's because of police like this".
