    I once went to a gamelan 'performance' in Wellington NZ, am unsure if musician is the right word here, a group of NZers who'd been to Malaysia (maybe teachers) and decided to form a gamelan group in memory of their time there.
    Suppose if you have no musical talent whatsoever it's the best option. They took it very seriously - all in their own world with nil sense of timing or rhythm.
    Maybe they were good.
