Thread: US Administaration changes its OBL story

Why?
First OBL was a pussy hidding far away in luxury using a woman as a shield
and then
The husband of a lioness and dying a martyr's death, unarmed at the hands of professional killers
The first story is better for PR so why the change?
Is there something else we are not being told.

Tell a story that benefits you first of all and then tell the truth. Everyone remembers the lies as truth and if you're ever challenged, you've got your story straight - you made an honest mistake which you corrected and it's almost impossible to disprove this. It's having your cake and eating it. If you look back at the Osama-dead thread I posted the abstract from a study on this conducted during the Iraq war and whilst Germans and Australians tended to remember the true versions of events (in cases where the Americans reported a story and then amended it), Americans tended to remember the first version. I don't for a second believe any of that fog of war bollocks about Osama's death. There are dozens of people watching this stuff live and they can't all spontaneously make the same mistake of thinking, for example, Osama was shooting from behind his wife and only discover two days later, on reviewing the tapes, that they were all wrong. No, it's done for a reason and the reason is the management of public perception.

The Military side of this operation was well planned and various possible disaster scenarios obviously taken into account.

The Political and Public Relations side however is a complete disaster.

1) He was shot dead in a firefight hiding behind his wife who was also killed
Shortly after we are told he was unarmed and his wife was only shot in the leg

2) We are told – and shown pictures – that the US Senior Administration watched to operation on Video in real-time
Now we are told there was a significant blackout in the Video coverage – 25 minutes according to some reports.

3) After the operation the President spends days agonising over whether ‘photos of the body should be shown to the public – this should have been carefully considered and a firm decision taken before the Operation.

4) Various Administration and other figures come out to tell us how a “gutsy” President spent many hours considering whether to authorise the Operation – in case the man was not there, or worse, the Operation failed in similar fashion to the attempt to rescue the Iranian hostages.

This was a long term, carefully planned Mission to remove the most wanted – and hated – man in the world, the only thing this “gutsy” President was worried about was the affect any such situation would have on him and his political future.

There’s nothing at all “gutsy” about that.

I would bet that OBL popularity made him the man the most popular in the world, if we included in the survey third world countries and Islamic countries, and not only the US, UK and the rest of Europe
