I like TV and reading about equal really. What I miss is my DVR back in the U.S. Best invention of the past 5 years IMO.

I need such one machine, i miss this recording and programming to watch at choosen times or just rewatch the programm...

Will have to investigate this a bit further, all my dvd's are just dead actually, dvr, dvr....

Digital Video Recorder. Basically a hard drive connected to your TV. Mine recorded 100 hours of programming, can pause, rewind, fast forward what you are currently watching. Can record on one channel whilst watching another. Tivo is a popular brand in the U.S. but mine was Dish (satellite) Network model. In some countries they are called Personal Video Recorders.

^on a more serious note, does it matter where you buy these? I asked in HK about one of these and they told me it wasn't Thai compatible - whatever the fuck that means...

interesting... migth be like the CCTV, we got one recording 9 cameras for 24 hours over more then 3 month on a 400 Gig disk...

Technologie is getting nice today, those small sticks on cameras over 2 Gb, and so on...

Will soon go around on similar way for movies as for music today, all the James bond, the porn collection, the Benny Hill,the complete Dallas and so much more in a small piece of plastic somwhere in the wallet...

I will never get Korean sense of humor. My wife always watches those damn comedy shows on late night TV and I am always asking her what the hell is so funny about that. She'll fill in the blanks where I lost what the people were talking about. Then after everything is said and done its about as funny as an old man farting in the tub (however that could be funny). I remember last year I went to see 40 year old virgin at the theater. I was the only white guy in the house and I was laughing my ballz off and everybody else was dead quiet...so I guess it goes both ways.
