bloody cheek, they reckon I am from North east.
What American accent do you have?Your Result: The Northeast
Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.
Philadelphia
The Inland North
The Midland
The South
Boston
The West
North Central
Heh. Never knew I had an American accent.
It maybe due to the fact that us North Easterners are the closest geographically to England. Who knows?
I wish we had a Scottish member. I wonder were their freaky accents would end up.![]()
There is also different accents for Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas. These accents are different than the rest of the south.
Interesting...they classified me as having a Midlands accent, i.e. no accent, but allowed that I might be from Florida or one of those large southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas.
I've lived in Atlanta for 25 years.
I went to junior high school, high school and university in Florida.
I was born in Mobile, Ala (Gulf Coast natives have accents quite different from the rest of the South).
And I thought the Midlands were in the UK, for Chrissakes.
They think I'm from the Inland North.
Oh shit I've been away from my roots in Virginia too long.
They say I'm from the "inland north"! A bloody squarehead!
It was close just one State Away.
I'm from Boston apparently
Well, I am a SoCal surfer and I know I don't have any accent.Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent.
I have a "Midland" accent.
